something is very wrong with my original post, odd...

here are some newer, better, closer-to-reality photos of the 60v. it has a round on it now, and i'm very happy with the finish (looks great, held up pretty well). not sure about the grooves yet, very moist here.

 

i'll deal with my original post, sorry for the odd photo display.

Nice bag. The TA2 SPN is a great ball for the money, when Golfsmith put them out I bought a bunch of boxes for my non-competitive rounds.

Did you do all the refinish work yourself? The Clevelands and the Vokey look good.

Added a Snake Eyes Mamba 2 3 wood (15) to the bag the other day.

 

Put it together with a green Snake Eyes VSE Fairway wood shaft (Aldila), spined, and for now the 2 gram weights it came with. Came up C9 on my cheap scale, but feels only a little light. A two pack of 5 gram weight screws are on the way, which will put it at D2, matching what my scale measures my V-Steel woods.

 

Have only hit it twice, both times were good, a little draw, nice and high. Was very worried about the sound, but it's nothing abnormal.

 

I'm still not 100% on this head or shaft. I almost went to a Wishon 4 wood, and still may because of necessity (and because I like new clubs all the time). No matter, I'm approaching the full component bag. Driver will easily be the hardest club to replace.

I just posted another topic about having an all-component bag, and it looks like you're on the same path! The one thing I have yet to switch to component is my putter, and the Wishon S2R is one that I was considering. How do you like it?

Thanks for looking jleonard. Nice on the all-component bag! I'm having a hard time with woods right now. I have the Mamba 2 3 wood, and my old Viper Ti-4, but it's so hard to remove the V-Steel and R510 (more the latter).

 

I'd recommend this putter!

 

It's so hard to find a putter, retail or component. This one is a winner.

 

From what I found looking through WITBs and talking to some club builders, it seems like most component guys still play retail putters, but those who don't play Wishon. Took a chance and ordered it. Since I've put it together there have been no regrets.

Always a fan of BeCu wedges. Did you kill the leading edge on that Nelson 56°, or just wear it down the old fashioned way with time and practice?

That was the design on that wedge. Amazing grind, beautiful wedge in all ways.

Funny you should mention that

I had those in mind and headed to the store, but ended up liking the Cally with the super c-grind on it. Really wanted to like the Nikes more, just didn't happen. Of course at the rate I'm "trying" new clubs, they will get their shot soon enough!

Latest addition: Bridgestone J36 Black CBs, Rifle PX Flighted 5.5. Picked off ebay at a great price, almost new condition. Already rusting a little from sitting in the garage. Need to get 'em bent, but cannot wait for Spring now!
Also picked up some X-Tour wedges to keep w/the dark finish, 52 and 58 to arrive today.
