Firesoles to Cobra ss forged

I'm looking to make the change from Taylor Made Firesole Irons to the Cobra SS forged. Is it worth it? Will I see a difference? I currently shoot in the Mid to Low 80s. I've hit the Cobras and like the feel but will it help my game. Thanks.

I currently play Macgregor 1025cm's, but I have hit the Cobra ss and they seem a little more forgiving. I've stayed with the 1025's because of the ball flight and workability. However, if you are looking for feel and the optimum foregivness in a forged iron, then Mizuno mx 23 is the club for you. If the aesthetics don't bother you, then you really ought to demo them. If you go with the Cobra's, you will have to put good swings on them but again, that might be what it takes to finally get you to shoot in the 70's. In any event, good luck! :fool:

The Forged SS are a really nice, really underrate iron.

I'll love mine and I bet you'll love yours too! Very forgiving and soft.

If the Cobra Forged SS said Titleist Forged Ss it would have been a huge seller for them. They are great clubs and I might throw mine back in the bag after I extend the shafts.

call me crazy, but at one point in time i had both the firesole forged and the cobras and favored the cobras. they both had similar flights, though the cobras had less apparent offset, particularly in the short irons. and i have to say, the cobras felt better... maybe i got a bad set, but the firesoles i had were very poorly chromed. it cracked and wrinkled if you just even thought about getting the lies adjusted. some of the irons bent very easily, while others were hard as hell.

I started playing my set of PX shafted SS Forged after playing with a couple of sets of Revolutions for the past few years. The best thing about these irons (aside from the inherent good looks) is the sole grind. Its shape really permits flexibility in opening and closing the club face. What I'm still getting used to is the slightly shorter toe to heel length of the blade. All in all they're some of the best irons which Titleist missed out on. Get them.
