Looooooong and straight but the sound?!?
I have a Comp in the bag right now and LOVE this thing. I am hitting the ball much more consistent with this head than any other to date. I had a 9.5* head and switched it with a 10.5* to get the ball up a bit higher. Also had Joe Kwok put Fujikura 660tr in it. WOWOOWOWOW!

Square set up and looks real nice at address. All the boys at the club say the same.

Confidence is another advantage with this head. It work magic for my mental game so far. I just feel like it will go straight.

One thing that I found a bit annoying is the tin sound. Yuk! Put I will over look the sound to get the performance.

Anyone else have the same feeling about the sound this head makes?

I am a sick man. I have a 10.5* tour head coming to see if the head sounds different than the retail. Someone said to foam it. ??? I have never foamed a driver.

Foaming a 460cc head would add way too much weight, and dramatically alter the COG of this composite head. I'll defer to Joe Kwok, but I would not do it.

Mine came with the stock NV 65-X. It was quite loud with it. I installed a Diamana 83-X and slapped a little lead tape on the bottom and whalaah! Reduced the pingy sound bigtime. What a big difference a heavier shaft and a little lead make. I've been hittin' the hell out of the Comp for a month now.

No kidding, I hit the crap out of yours too. I should be getting a comp 9.5* head anyday and looking forward to trying it out again.

Agreed, lead tape works wonders for weight AND sound. Besides, you can always take the tape off......once you've foamed it, it's permanent.

We have run literally hundreds of drivers through our launch monitors this year..(both Swing Dynamic & Vector) and the Comp produces the fastest ball speeds by far over every other driver out there..even 65 year old guys that hit it with the right shaft knock the crap out of it..we have sold a ridicules amount of these clubs..can't keep the 9.5's in stock..Great club IMO..

Hey Guys,

I have been playing a 983K since they came out about 2 years ago. I really benefit from the high spin/high launch characteristics of the K. But, I have been tempted to switch to one of the bigger headed drivers. The Comp seems to be very well received. Will the comp play similar to a 983K in terms of loft and spin?

I just received a 460 Comp with a 44 1/2 " Accra SC75 shaft. I am in love. I had a 975 LFE with a Purple Ice shaft before, and the Comp is easily 10-15 yards longer.

I've had problems in the past finding a graphite shaft that I could play. With my quick tempo and with high torque shafts, I'd either leave it out to the right or hit a snap hook. This shaft is awesome. The ball has very little curve on it, and I'm hitting a very consistent pattern and flight.

Another thing I noticed about the driver was the height on it. Both my drivers are 9.5*, and there's a major difference in the trajectory on equal drives. It's carrying much farther, with some roll to boot.

I have just got 2 Comps - a retail 9.5* w/ stiff 660TR and a tour 9.5* that is getting a Diamana 83 stiff installed. I have always loved the Comp but was searching for the right shaft and a tour head - I hit the retail yesterday w/ the 660TR and it is very solid and long - can't wait to try the tour head w/ the Diamana but if it doesn't work as well as the retail 660TR guess I'll be transferring the 660TR to the Tour head!! Meanwhile my J33R w/ stiff Pro 95 just keeps hitting fairways and getting no respect!!!! What a Ho' I am ......
