If you think Bridgestone Golf is 'just balls' and they'd be less busy on the floor of the PGA Show than others, you'd be wrong. They have things happening. Several ball fittings, a crowd lining up for autographs and pictures with Davis Love III, visits from PGA Tour Radio hosts Matt Adams and Brian Katrek and a live Skype chat with new spokesman David Feherty were just a few things going of during the hour we were there.

Of course, Bridgestone was showcasing their redesigned B330 golf ball line for 2012. Video below!

Here as good of place to ask as any...why did Bstone change the cover on last year's e5? It went from eurathane to something harder I think.

they say the b330 is 6 % softer and better greenside spin.... i love the original b330 (LONGGGGG) but sometimes it was hard to get it to check on pitches... the 2012 b330 on paper looks promising

i've heard from a trusted salesman that the 2011 line is better than 2012. this was when i went to buy a dozen two weeks ago. considering the 2012 line was 20 bucks more expensive, i don't think he had any reason to lie to me.

There is no new E Series line for 2012. Bridgestone released a new E Series line in 2011 with the updated dual dimple design as the only change from 2010 I believe. The E5 still and has always had a urethane cover.

yeah mizz i just watched em, he said that the 330 and 330S both will have the dual dimple technology which they claim will help both get and keep the ball in the air, keeping the angle of descent lower to gain more roll out.. Both will have an improved mantel layer for more distance from higher initial velocity and of course they claim that both will have increased green side control. He also stated the 330S has a thinner cover this year and is 12% softer than the B330 which i have no idea if that is new but is probably worth mentioning.

Sneds just gave props again to the new ball...I still rotate the 10 ball in and out and man does it feel and perform like the real deal.

The B330s was my go-to ball for ages and is still one of the best balls on the market in my opinion. I seem to get better results from the Penta but thats also coupled with the continuous "Buy 2 get 1 free" that they ran on the Pentas all last year, which helped get and keep them in my bag.

I love both these golf balls, but like you, the price is the kicker. My results are SO good with the 330S, though, that I think I'll be stocking up once tax refunds come back. Also, it's good to see you're still rocking my Philosoraptor, Tizzle!

The new balls are up on Bridgestone's website. Love the B330-RX, will compare the new version with last year's version. Glad to see they got rid of the extraneous lines on the b330 logo sidestamp, the stamp is narrower now and more receptive to a sharpie line being drawn through it. Will be testing the new RX directly against Titleist's NXT Tour S.

Really hated the feel of the old B-330 around the greens. Could not get much check out of it. But I appreciated the reduced spin on full shots. Maybe this new B-330 sits right between the 2011 B-330S and 2011 B-330? That could be a great ball...
