hit it today! Now have pics
Hey,

Just got back from hitting the new Cleveland Launcher 460 TI. What a nice club. I currently play the Launcher 460 and love it. This new head sits a bit different at address and the the shaft gives a better launch. You can really feel the club head come around and snap at the ball. I used and bought the 10.5 degree with stiff shaft. I really diidnt think I would feel or see much of a difference, but I was surely suprised. I'll try it on the course tomorrow and let you know!!!

Please do. I think it might be more to do with the shaft than anything else though.

God Bless

I've played this as a prototype as early as two months ago. Together with the 19* fairway wood, they show some improvement over the past models they replaced. Personally, I find that the driver sits squarer when laid on the ground. The fairway wood is slightly shallower and lest prone to over drawing the ball. Link to photo:

Hi Guys!!

Just got back from the course, played 9 holes and shot a 40 no fault of the driver just could not get the ball to drop, three that sat on the edge. Well the 460 Ti is a lovely thing!! Still not used to the shaft, but did not miss a fairway, and Breckenridge Golf is not known for really wide fairways. Shortest drive was 260 going up hill and longest would have been around 300. You can really feel the stock Fuji shaft lag. Trajectory was a bit lower or it seemed that way because the ball did not just go up and then drop. Sound from the head is a bit different than my old 460, a bit more solid sound. I beleive this is a keeper, I'm looking forward to get used to the club and really seeing what it can do.

Have a great round

I pray to whatver golf gods that may be that cleveland drops the black/gold/white color scheme and go with something new. I like the red and black, but lets get a little wild-er

My understanding is Cleveland is getting away from the composite tops. I personally did not care for the look nor the sound. The head cover and the head itself is a very very dark blue and it looks great. Now the problem is that they don't match the 3 wood or the Halo's. What to do, what to do! :fool:

Guess it is time for some new fairway woods too then. I'm probably going to pick up the new driver and a 15* to replace my comp and 13* launcher ti. I am also going to get rid of my 19* launcher ti and 22* halo in favor of something different (rescue dual tp?).

I also have the 15 degree fairway ti and really like it, its not great out of really thick rough but what 3 wood is? I love my halos have a 19 degree no 5 wood and 24 degree no 3 or 4 iron. May look at a different shaft for the 3 wood any thoughts?

I have the Aldila NV 65 (s) in my 3 wood right now. I've always liked it.

My Launcher Ti 15* was a stinkin bomber off the tee. Shafted with the Harmon Tour Design GXS, it was often close in distance to my driver. But off the short grass, it hit line drives that rolled forever. This wasn't what I wanted from my fairway wood; I prefer consistent distances. The high kick point of the GXS may have had a lot to do with the low trajectories. The Ti's deeper face compared to the Launcher steel made it ideal for use off the tee, but less so from the fairway. The new 2006 fairway wood has a lower profiled face and is easier to hit than my previous Ti from the deck.

My info is different. My understanding is that Cleveland intends to keep the Comp 460 as their flagship driver, and position the Ti 460 just under the Comp. Cleveland's new website seems to support that.
