loft & Lie machine

which one is right 4 me?

I have been buying forged irons lately, and I know they need to be checked a little more often than cast. What is a good accurate loft & lie bending machine. I don't want to overspend for just a name, I just want one that works good, and will be accurate. i also play my irons 3 flat.

A bit pricey though, isn't it? Is it really not possible to find anything usable for the hobby clubmaker for around 200 bucks? I mean, I only want to check my own set and maybe one or two others a couple of times a year.

If it really is just for personal use, I'd just pony up the $2/club or whatever a local guy will charge you to have it done...IMO, it isn't worth getting a super el cheapo one and potentially end up worse off...

A $200 loft and lie machine is a total waste of money in my opinion.

 

As for who sells the MR3 - just Google "MR3 True Blue" - and you'll find several dealers come up.

I agree with Tim. That $200 machine will cause $699 worth of frustration. There are bending vises that can be used in conjunction with a gauge but if I had to unclamp/reclamp after every bend attempt, I'd probably have to drink 2 cases of beer with every set of irons to avoid going stir crazy.

 

Incidentally Golfworks was blowing out used Mitchells for $250 to $300....this included the Tour Gauge for irons...I almost bought another machine it was such a good deal.

The problem with those used Mitchells is they were more than likely in need of refurbishing before they were going to be accurate again.

 

This will cost you $800 plus shipping last time I checked.
