Looks like a Titleist truck threw up in my apartment
Well our golf season has been delayed again here in Michigan by 30 degree temperatures and 3 inches of snow yesterday. Figured today was a good chance to update my WITB. I made a few changes from last year. Mainly decided to go with a different color scheme. Makes you feel like you bought new sticks without spending all the dough! I did all the paint fill myself (except for the GoLo) and it definitely isn't perfect, but I think it will do just fine for this summer. You need soooo much patience to do a perfect job.

Here is what the bag looked like a year ago today...

Woods/Hybrids - custom head covers by JuJu

Titleist 913D2 10.5* with a Diamana D+ X Stiff

Titleist 910F 15* with a Tour SPX VTS 8x

TaylorMade 2009 Rescue 19* with an Oban Devotion 8 O5 Flex

The Titleist heads were refinished in flat black by Continental Golf. I had the alignment aid removed for the driver. Hind sight 20/20 I should've had it removed for the fairway head as well. The text and the racing stripes are blacked out as well.

Irons/Wedges - custom ferrules to match the grips. Also did a blue/white paint fill that alternates pattern club to club.

Titleist 712 combo set (3-6 CB and 7-PW MB). Shafts are KBS C-Taper 130X +1" and 2* upright. This is the only piece of my bag that remains intact from last year. They are really sweet irons.

Titleist SM4 Black Nickel wedges with X100 shafts +.5".

I changed my set up a bit this year to improve the gap between my PW and GW, which caused me some issues last year. Went from a 52, 56, 60 last year to a 50, 54, 60 this year. I also have a 62* but it is mainly for messing around the practice green. Very rarely will make the game bag.

Putter

This was my big project this winter. Last summer I went through putters like crazy with mixed results. I committed myself this summer to stay with ONE putter. So I decided to customize the heck out of my putter so I would stick to it, and nobody else would buy it! All of the custom work was done at the Putter Lounge. I don't really care for any of the Scotty custom headcovers or grips, so I decided against the custom shop. The custom designed headcover was done by Delilah at Girly Golfer. My favorite part of this headcover is her use of a magnetic closure vs. the traditional velcro. SO much nicer.

I added sightlines, paint fill, initial stamp, Iomic large grip, and custom flat black shaft. It definitely isn't for everyone, but I love it. Let's hope it has lots of 1 putts in my future.

Absolutely! When I was thinking about replacing my MP-32s I was originally looking at the MP-69s but I couldn't resist the combo set of the 712s. I can't wait to see what they do next year to follow up the 910 because the 910 is a beast.

Haha. I am actually 6'4". Not sure why we went 2 in this time. My last irons were about 1.5. Something felt right about these.

I think I remember my fitter saying something about how my stance was very upright. I wasn't really listening, I was just thinking about my new clubs! Ha

Yea I have been toying with the idea of throwing a 3 wood in the bag, but I can't throw anything else out. The course that I play at fits my distance gaps pretty well. For the short par 4s I usually take a 3 iron off the tee. Then I use the hybrid on the par 5s.

Thanks Walshyy. The DIY paintfill is pretty fun. There is a great thread in the club making section that has some different techniques. There are some super talented guys on this site that do a much better job but I was pretty happy with my first attempt.

    Paint fill thread.

I would love to have a golf related job, but unfortunately I don't. I just have a very (un)healthy addiction to golf. This early Spring we are having in Michigan is the prefect answer to that addiction.

That is a minty bag. I fooled (read wanted to play them but just couldn't hit them as good as others.) with the idea of playing the CB's for a while. I ended up going for the feel of forgiveness of the razr forged.
