what does evryone think
Just wondering what everyone thinks about these two wedges and how they compare heads up. I think i'm soon going to get a new 58 degree wedge and these are right now my top two candidates. Both would be fitted with rifle spinner 5.5 and 8 degrees bounce. Lets hear what you guys think about these two wedges.

I spoke to an Asian Tour pro that's tried them both. The Spin Milled are in his bag at the moment. He says they both spin the ball fine about the same off the fairway, but the Titleists are better from the rough. He's not a real gear-head and could really say why, just that he got better results from a variety of situations from them.

Then he went and showed me some of his old ProV1x's that he hit with full shots off the wedge. The Spin Milled will put the hurt on your golf ball!

YMMV :idhitit:

I might be the only one out there that thinks the SM are crap for spin. I think the Cleveland TSC and Y Cutters put a ton more spin on the ball than the SM's. Just my .2 cents.

I am playing the SM wedges as well right now, and I feel that they do not produce a noticeable amount of extra spin on full shots, but there is quite a difference on partial shots and shots from taller grass. I am very interested in a couple TP wedges when they come out though.

I'm going have to be honest with few of you guys. I've played with Vokey SM 60*, Y-Cutter 60* and Adams Puglielli 60*. The one that spins the most is Adams 60* that both SM or Y-Cutter doesn't even come close to. I'd take SM over Y-Cutter anytime, since it's spin is more controllable due to better sole design. I've always thought Y-Cutter wedges sucked cause I've had hard time around the greens due to it's sole design. Sorry guys, but it's just my honest opinion.

I think you should be banned for speaking so poorly of a Taylor Made product, how dare you tell the truth and give your honest opinion. Oh wait, I had this site confused for a second :idhitit: I agree, I liked the spin of the Y-Cutters, but they weren't nearly as consistent for me either. Had trouble from less than perfect lies for some reason. I much prefer the 588 TGs that I have, but that is my humble opinion.

LOL! Mileage will vary due to player's personal preferences. I keep on chunking pitch shots from tight lies with TM RAC wedges so I was tired of visiting fatsville too often. :idhitit:

Easier for me to hit those shots with SM, 588's and few other wedges. RAC wedges are fine on full shots but not when I'm closer to the green for a reason that I'm not sure why. I know it's all up in my head. :cheesy:
