Best bang for the buck!

Just put a post up about the best budget ball and got a ton of responses to try balls like the gamer v2 and the bridgestone e5 or Srixion Tri-speed.

My question is what is the best bang for the buck? I AAA (second tier) used premium ball like a srixion Z-start tour, prov1 ect or brand new Gamer V2's?

I typically shoot in the low 40's (9 holes) and really like the short game spin I get from a premium ball (hop and stop) however, I do loose the occansional ball on an errant drive. (usually no more than one per round).

I am looking for a ball with good green side manners (soft and lots of spin) and somthing that is durable that will last 18-27 holes or more.

The price would be pretty similar with the premium recycled balls maybe $1 or $2 more per dozen.

IMHO, the best ball for the money is a Pro V1 PRACTICE. If you're good enough to tell the difference between them and the retail ball you should be getting them for free.

TM Penta practice balls at GG for $19.99 are hard to beat. Premium tour ball at the price of a 2 piece distance ball is a no brainer to me.

I bought a box of 50 very clean used (not refurbished) ProV1x 2012 for 81 bucks, shipped. That was less than I was spending on DT Solo new balls and I kind of like the way they pitch and chip for me. The box of 50 will last me for months.

I also picked up a box of 48 of the same ball in a lower grade of used. Still in good shape but not near-mint like the first batch. They were around $42 shipped and for 85 cents per ball I don't even bother looking more than a minute or two if I hit one into the woods. But if I were keeping score or playing for a couple bucks I'd splurge on the near-mint ones that cost a buck-sixty.

For my game a Gamer V2 type ball would probably be just as good but I see no drawback to good used premium balls and they are actually cheaper if you shop around a bit.
