Do you usually like a higher weight driver shaft? Did you hit the VTS in the 6 series, if so how did they compare to the 7 series you are playing? Also does the spin go up noticeably between the Black and Silver?

I usually play 70 gram and up driver shafts just to help keep my spin and launch down. Never hit the 6 series but they will probably be just a touch more spin and a little higher launch. I have not tested the black and silver in the same head. The black is less torque so it should be a little lower launch and lower spin. There was a really good review on here somewhere comparing each color.

Love this bag from top to bottom.... the VTS family of shafts is so solid. What are your thoughts on the MS hybrid shaft? I've always been curious and may try that this season.

But the icing on this cake is the TVDs, I've been contemplating those for a while but can't justify the price tag yet. Maybe it's time I sell some spares to start a TVD fund...

Another member here (RackMb's&TP's) turned me onto this shaft. As far as I know they are tour only so they are a little tuff too find. I am pretty sure that Fuji will sell them on request. But this is one of the only hybrid shafts or combos in general that I do not hit excessively high. When I got fit at TPI Carlsbad they did not want to attempt to put this combo against what they had as they knew it would be extremely tuff to beat. It was called a rocket launcher and turbo hybrid …. The only other hybrid shaft that I would consider is the Matrix Black Tie. The thing is money and if you need to get your ball flight down you should find one.

Scratchswinger, how do you like your Adam 18 degree Hybrid, I just purchase one?. Also I'm thiking about strengthening my loft on my AP2 710, did you notice any changes when you did this?

It’s a great hybrid if you need something that is low launch in a smaller head, extremely versatile club. Anytime that you decrease loft it will lower the launch and spin. I would not suggest changing it too much as it will also affect bounce and offset, although the changes will be very minor….

I'm drooling over those CB's scratch, they are sweet, always loved the look of the CB series from Titlesist, and these are thier best looking.

 

Whats your input on the TVD's so far, as I have a set of them also 56* and 60* and don't get along with the higher bounce in them, although I do

play in firmer conditions so that could play a part....they look awesome though.

The TVD's are money. When I got fit at TPI one of the first things that they noticed is that I need high bounce wedges. On full shots I picked up a full club over my previous wedges. I hit my 56° TVD further than I hit my old 52°. Around the greens the SM4 grooves are money. The black Ox finish wears quick and then the raw underneath starts to rust, they look even better as they are aging. I can update the pictures later with some more current/ aged pictures.

 

I just picked up a GoLo and it is firmly in the bag. I don’t think I will be rotating any putters for a while. :black eye:
