There is no better sound in sports to hear than the cheers from people chanting “Go USA” and “Go Paula.” The Solheim Cup was the best experience I have ever had. I had such a great time and of course winning makes everything 100 times better. I was so incredibly fortunate to have an ambassador of women's golf be my captain. Nancy Lopez was just unbelievable. I know and all my teammates know that Nancy could not have done what she did, without her assistant and, our second captain, Donna Caponi. Ray, Nancy's husband was pretty cool also!

I arrived in Indianapolis at our hotel on Sunday afternoon and was the first one there. Our team had our own floor and it was loaded with American flags and everything you can imagine. When I walked into my room I thought Santa messed up his dates and had just left. We had so many neat things all over the room that even on Friday, 5 days later, I was finding things to use. Sunday night my teammates arrived and we all had a team dinner and just talked. After dinner we got settled in our rooms. Monday we could have done whatever we wanted but since I had taken the prior week off and did not play the State Farm event, I wanted to go play Crooked Stick and practice some. In fact I asked Nancy if we could move everything up and start the Cup early. I played 18 holes that day and it was so nice and peaceful. Crooked Stick was in fantastic shape and the greens were wonderful and much quicker than a month earlier. Although the fairways were very wide, the golf course was so pure.

Canon gave all players a camera as a gift. As a result I took a great many pictures. All the players did the same. The LPGA took our cameras every night and downloaded the pictures that we took and charged it up for us for the next day. They put some of the pictures on LPGA.com for everybody to enjoy which was nice. Some probably had to be edited or even deleted because some of the pictures were taken at compromising times. Right Juli!

What a fun player to watch, and seems to have a great attitude. One thing about her swing that I found interesting is shown really well in the middle two pictures of the lower frame. Right thru impact it seems like her head moves straight down. I've noticed Natalie Gulbis has somewhat of the same move.

I'm sure we'll see a lot more great golf from Paula!

Paula Creamer is AMAZING. Here are my thoughts on her:

* Pink. This "Pink" theme is really going too far. I realize it's her favorite color, but her marketing agents are pushing this WAY TOO MUCH. It's getting preposterous that everything she wears, owns, and touches is painted pink. I realize this is important for recognition, and "branding", but enough already!

* Confidence. Wow, she has a full head of confidence. Of course - 3 wins in her rookie season is a terrific start, 2nd on the money list, and one of the best rookie seasons since Nancy Lopez. You can see it in her mind as she "struts" :idhitit: around the course like she OWNS it. Did anyone watch the Solheim cup and see her kick Laura Davies' ****? Incredible. She talked some smack talk, and went out and DID it.

Nevertheless, I'm a big fan of Paula's. She's going to be a winner for a LONG time.

In my opinion the best player coming through the ranks. Swing may need some work if it is going to hold up but a fantastic rookie season and a real prospect for the future. And wow! aint she hot.

Paula is just incredible... we followed her during a practice round at Nabisco in '04 and I immediately put her at the top of my 'important players to watch' list - and she was just a junior in high school!

I also followed her closely at the Women's Open in '04 and then again at the Solheim in '05 - now that was a tournament to remember! I'm volunteering at the Women's Open this summer (Newport RI) and hope to get a chance to follow her once again... she's always been very gracious with the fans during practice rounds and certainly responded well to the crowds at Solheim! Seeing her beat Laurie Davies was again, something else I never forget!

Go USA! Go Paula!

(I'm a big Annika fan too - gonna be a great year to watch the LPGA!)

Deb.

PS: the pink thing is fine with me...

Paula Creamer may take the number-one spot away from Annika Sorenstam. Not only does she have a great swing but she also has the determination to stand apart from the rest of the LPGA.

Natalie Gulbis has already been on the tour for a few years and has not had the success of Creamer.

Ai Miyazato at her first professional tournament since winning at Q-School fared poorly (representing Japan) with her teammate recently at the World Cup.

Michelle Wie is still learning how to swim.

Golf Beauty,

I noticed you carry the Adams Hybrids. How 'r you hitting them?

I saw the new hybrids in a local store last week and I can't stop dreaming about them! :cheesy:

Actually I love 'em! I've gained about 15-20 yards using them. Also I've chipped in twice using the 4 i-wood when I'm just off the green.

How is it that Paula, one of the top 5 players in the world and one of the most popular players, does not have her own website. If you go to her LPGA fan page, she is by far the most popular player based site views and comments left behind. No other player is even close execpt maybe Natalie, but she's still a distant 2nd. Does anybody know why team Creamer is missing the boat here?

put an average looking women at best in golf clothes and give them a good golf swing, and she becomes one sought after peice of a** among the male golf community.

Interesting isnt it? I saw it in junior golf, i saw it in amateur golf, and i see it in pro golf.

These girls egos become so inflated its absolutely ridiculous and you'll never see them with a boyfriend outside the golf community, because they cant get anything good outside of it, as they are seen as just average in the real world. The general people just don't find them attractive.

Nothing against Paula, shes a fabulous person and certainly not ugly. This is more directed at the natalie gulbis types.

Maybe you should check the title of this thread one more time. Here you go, it's "Paula Creamer Fan Club". Maybe Paula is "average looking" compared to what you're pulling, but I think she's cute as hell.

There's hot and golf hot.

Normally I'd agree, hot and golf hot. They are not one in the same. I've seen it, and not just in golf. Its a pretty common tale at the poker tables as well. In male-dominated arenas, marginally attractive females become "hot" all of a sudden. There is something to be said for girls who golf. The golf attire does upgrade them a little bit. And I used to say I'd never want to date a girl who plays golf. That was until I met one who played D1 golf, and was as competitive as me. And now we wait for her to come back around.

But this whole explanation aside, there's just something about Paula. She's got what the French call a certain "I don't know what" quality about her.
