Tour Authentic RAZR Fit: The combination of Forged Composite and OptiFit Technology makes Callaway's first driver featuring adjustability the performance leader. The OptiFit Tour Hosel offers nine unique face angles to choose from and the six OptiFit Tour Weights allow for a more finely tuned ball flight and trajectory. Golfers can dial in their ideal settings with Tour Authentic Technology and hit drives with distance and accuracy like never before.

Project X Black: The new Project X Black features a 10% weight reduction from the original Project X graphite for explosive power while preserving critical tip stability and low spin performance. With proprietary Dual Torsional Control, Project X Black reduces spin rates at impact for optimized peak trajectory with flatter descent angles for maximum carry and roll.[/size]

I currently use the FT-iz with the Project X graphite shaft made for Callaway.

it is the bomb, and has forced retirement of the following drivers.....Cobra S2, Powerbilt Air Force One.

Why did they discontinue the FT-iz after only one year?

How does the RAZR Fit compare to the FT-iz?

If I win a RAZR Fit, will it exceed the performance of my FT-iz?

I have owned several Callaway drivers in the past and once the FT Tour broke apart along the seam connecting the composite crown to the titanium face. Has this been an issue with the RAZR Fit (both regular and TA versions)? What has Callaway done with the RAZR fit to address this previous issue? Thanks.

To Chad Hall:
Is the Project x 5.5 in the callaway tour authentic razor fit really "tour authentic"? So is this the most popular shaft for the guys on tour in the callaway tour authentic razor fit head or do you think this shaft is the best hybrid of a tour quality shaft with the best performance for a average single digit golfer?
thank you very much

Has True Temper looked into the forged composite technology and how it can be applied to shafts? Also, how closely did TT and Callaway work together in matching a shaft for the TA, or is it Callaways choice? In other words, what processes are applied in making the stock shaft choice for a new offering? Thanks again!

To Callaway and True Temper: Why with all the technology moving to lighter head weights and lighter shafts is the swing weight @ D5? I thought the idea of making everything lighter was to help promote faster swing speeds for amateur golfers....

To Chad:

With the trend of lighter is better that's going on these days, what Project X Black shaft would you recommend for a player that prefers a heavier shaft. I love the look of the Black shaft, just not crazy about the 10% reduction in weight.

P.S. to Chad- Tell the family I said "Hi". Can't wait for the 5th. Super pumped!!

Hi Guys. Thanks for taking my questions.

What makes True Temper and Callaway such a great fit for each other? Is this the first of many collaborations?

Best of luck in the future.

I currently own both Hawk and Octane Tour drivers. Both have my own shaft in them, and both have beaten other brands when fitting/trying to find something better. Bottom line, I am interested in the razr fit driver, but hesitant to pull the trigger based on price and stock shaft alone. I have an opportunity locally next week to pay $250 for a trackman fitting where the money can then be applied to purchase. My concern is a big what if....my current Callaway product is better for me than the new driver?! I also play 09 x forged irons with px shafts and love them. Could you sell me on the razr fit, when I'm almost certain the stock shaft will have to go? Also, hex black may be the best ball I have ever played. Thanks! CJ

Thanks for the time and expert answers! I have always been a big Callaway fan and been impressed with the Fusion Technology. Are we going to see even heavier use of Forged Composite in the next few years? Like how the past drivers were almost half composite, can that be done without losing the adjustable features?

I've seen some concerns about flex consistency in the stock shafts early on when the Razr Fit came originally out. For instance, Stiff flexes were coming out with CPMs that didn't seem to match up with what most folks would have considered a stiff flex. Could you talk some about the steps that are taken through quality control to ensure that shaft flexes match up with what they're supposed to?

The customer service at Callaway has always been phenomenal, so I assume that anyone with concerns would contact them, correct?

Chad, will there ever be a revamp to the original Rifle steel line? Or is the rifle shaft, for all intents and purposes, dead? Thanks

When will Callaway go back to offering more than one flex in there standard lines such as Razr X?

What the adjustable hosel part of the Callaway/Acushnet deal?

Will the adjustable hosel be able to be purchased seperately?

Is there any difference in the Tour Authentic Razr Fit head and the standard Razr Fit head?

For True Temper

I have seen KBS be very aggressive in offering some of there premium lines as stock options in some oem clubs. When or ever could we expect to see a Tour Concept or Monaco offering in Tour line of OEM clubs? I really have enjoyed the Monaco shafts may be one of the best I have ever hit.

Please explain to me how the dynamic loft is not changed on the Razr Fit when face angle is changed. It is my understanding that there are three face angle settings: l. neutral = 0 degrees, 2. open = 2.5 degrees? and 3. closed = 1.5 degrees?. Also, from your website, it states: "OptiFit Tour Hosel offers a higher level of adjustability with three sub-positions within the Square, Open, and Closed face angles totaling nine unique face angles to choose from." How are there nine different face angles? Thanks.

I played callaway drivers for years until recently before moving to a driver with adjustability. Pleased to see and hit the new line - very well done. With all of the competitors cards on the table so to speak - why was the razr fit TA not released for the intial razr fit release as the "tour" line. TA tip premium shaft etc... Keeping the razr fit as the non "tour". It seems that a lot of people I know purchased from a competitor because the tip didnt allow enough adjustability even though your product produced better #s..

Thanks in advance for answering my question - keep pushing the envelope!

Hi Chad, I've been playing Dynamic Golds my whole life (from R300 all the way to X200's I'm playing now) and have never played anything better for me. How is it that with all of the "new and better shafts and technology" available, that the Dynamic Gold has remained not only popular, but top of the line in performance as well. Is it constantly being tweaked or has the process just been perfected over the years and the product was right from the start?

Thanks,

Aaron

Gentlemen,

Why make the change to adjustable drivers after making some of the greatest drivers that are glued in? Also, as FT-9 driver owner I have to say that this is one of the best drivers that I have ever owned. What makes the new RAZR Fit a better option for guys like me, the ability to adjust? Is the technology that much better? Finally, why make the TA adjustable features different than the retail version? Is there a detriment to having too much adjustment ability?

Thanks for the opportunity. Looking forward to the information.
