I did not do any scientific analysis. Just impressions hitting them, on the round. I found I hit the Tri Speed better off the tee and it did better in the wind. On shots into the green, both were very similar for me, and as for touch stuff around the green, differences were really very negligible. Yes, the Bridgestone braked faster on chips and was a tad softer off the putter face too. Otherwise, besides the markings (TriSpeeds are better for alignment)the differences to me do not warrant Jack Pearsall purchasing the costlier ball. Sorry Bridgestone, I know this probably blows that endorsement deal I emailed you about. Next time.

I found the same results as you. The Trispeed Tour is an excellent non-premium performer, especially on close-out prices. The RXS seemed really average for me, which isn't what I expect from a premium ball and certainly not what I'd pay extra for. But I haven't tried the 2012 version yet.

According to that chart, it's nowhere close to the greenside performer that the B-330RXS. That doesn't mean it's not a good ball.

But I recall several posts that some Srixon rep said the TriSpeed Tour is the Srixon XV in disguise. I would call BS, but I don't have any experience with the TriSpeed tour so I'll bite my tongue.

I like the Tri-Speed Tour. Unfortunately, they're not being made anymore. My favorite ball is the Taylormade Black TP LDP, which TM has been thoughtful enough to discontinue. If you find the Srixon on closeout, I would recommend them.

I think it compares favorably with the Titleist NXT, a really decent ball that gets lost in discussions that seem to invariably head to ProV1 turf. I like both balls, and their prices. Sorry to hear the Srixon TriSpeed Tours are no more. Glad I bought 4 dozen then.

I would have to agree(not a bad thing). I have been playing the tri speed tour but just recently switched to the XV and noticed I get more distance out of it. So I believe there's a little difference between the two

Ha. What a horrible chart. I'm a high spin player and I can't backspin the RX if my life depended on it. I hate that ball.

Gamer V2 is a one to two bounce stop on a full wedge, as is the Trispeed Tour. So those balls could be accurately placed. The RX should be around the same area - one, two, three bounce stop for me.



What'd they do? Go to Golf Galaxy and hit into that bush league screen for the results?

I found the RXS to be excellent on finesse shots around the green.

The RX has less braking power on finesse shots, and the balls without urethane covers? No thank you.

I've been saying all along, the Trispeed Tour is the evil twin of the XV but at a more realistic price level. It's just as long but it's not as soft off the putter but darn sight softer than most balls. At the prices they are going for right now, suggest you stock up. I have no quams losing this ball as versus an XV. 105-108 SS and it goes, drop and stop off mid irons and a tad of release off the chips. Know your ball and you should be right.
