Q Star, Callaway diablo tour, Gamer V2

Which is better

Which of these three balls is really better? Ive played the diablo tour and really liked it, ive played the Gamer V2 but not enough to know much about it. I haven't played the Q star but gonna try it soon, I use to play the ad333 and loved that ball, I wonder how the Q star is compared to the ad333? Anyway whats your take on these three or any others in this category if you have any to add.

To me, the Callaway Diablo Tour and Gamer V2 are a draw in terms of performance (long, straight, holds greens decently). Both are good looking balls. One has HEX dimples and the other has Dimple-In-Dimple technology. Both have minimal graphics that adorn some low-cost balls. I believe I have read that the tech specs are very similar. The Diablo Tour might be a shade more durable (I wouldn't swear to that, however), but not worth the additional $5+ a dozen.

I can't comment on Srixon due to lack of experience with them.

Out of the Gamer and the Qstar, I like the Qstar. It feels better to me, especially when putting.

I think the QStar is garbage. I prefer spin balls, mind you. I like to attack, stick or spin it.

I remember hitting a full PW and the Q star hit the middle and rolled off the back of the green. I'm scratching my head like, wtf? I dumped the remaining balls after that hole.

I tested out a sleeve of the AD333 and Q Star and I could not really tell that much of a difference between the two. The only thing I really liked about the Q Star was that it was offered in yellow, but I didn't think it was worth the difference in price.

I played my first round with a GamerV2 recently, and I liked it better than both the AD333 and the Q Star. Great ball for the price.

Havent tried the q star, the other 2 I have. For me the diablo tour is the best mid tier non urethane ball for the money. Its long and has decent greenside manners. Give it try you can afford too.

I've tried the Qstar and Diablo Tour, and "for me" the Diablo Tour won hands down. Qstar was ok but "for me" the Diablo Tour was considerably longer off all clubs. Qstar felt nice, the Diablo Tour was slightly firmer but still nice. Give it a try.

for me, q-star was very bad except putting since i like soft feel when putting. q-star is alsmot mushy when putting.
i find hx diablo tour and gamer v2 very similar but hs diablo tour spins a bit more on greens while gamer v2 is a bit longer.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Diablo Tour. If I had to consider a mid-tier performance ball, I'd rank them as...

1. Trispeed Tour
2. Gamer V2
3. Diablo Tour

I would not even consider the Q-star, probably wouldn't even accept it free. Gamer V2 wins over the Diablo since you can find them cheaper.

Feel 1) Qstar 2) V2 3) Diablo tour

distance 1) V2 2) Q star 3) Diablo tour


Diablo tour was a bust for me...I really like the v2 and Q star both are good balls but the v2's can be had quite a bit cheaper

I have played all three. The V2 (for me) was the best in terms of performance AND price. It does everything the Q-Star does, except I like the putting with Q-Star marginally better, and I liked the yellow option. The Diablo Tour was the longer of the three by a small handful of yards, but nothing to make me want to pay 6 bucks more for it. Apart from being a little longer, you really would have a hard time distinguishing the performance of the Diablo Tour from the V2. It is that close. Gamer V2 all the way.

What I like best about the Gamer is that it really holds its line/trajectory well. The Diablo Tour plays very similar to the Gamer except for me is slightly shorter. The QStar didn't play like the other balls at all for me. It was the lowest spin and felt way too soft.

For me its the Gamer. There is very little in it in terms of results on the course and they can be had for near half price of the others, no brainer!
