I get to sit outside tomorrow morning in a cap and gown for two and a half hours. I'd definitely rather be golfing.

Anyone here ever played Red Rocks Country Club? My folks are coming to town and have access to it through some reciprocal deal, don't know much about it though. The slope and rating aren't especially impressive, but with the location I'm assuming Arrowhead-style views at least?

CO golfer here!

My team get to play five courses and this is one of them. Red rocks cc is a really pretty course and views are nice!

Despite the awful, cold weather, I made the turn at Red Hawk Ridge only 2-over. And, just like last time, the wheels fell off on the back nine. I striped monster drives on the two par-4's, only to end up with a double and triple. Argh.

Did you at least stay dry?

My spring skiing gear doubles great as golf rain gear. :)

The only thing I forgot to do was wear contacts.

Glad I don't have to worry about it tomorrow. Hopefully I can have two solid nine's at Red Hawk Ridge this time.

Wishful thinking. Shot a 37 on the front, and made just one par on the back (the 18th). Argh.

A friend on Facebook has a great term for the current state of my golf game.

Ray-Ray : Ray Floyd on the front; Ray Charles on the back.

Through some miracle, I actually finished in the money overall and on Day 2 (not sure how much since I was the first group out and had to sign my scorecard then leave for another commitment).

Overall gross winner was 83-80. Overall net winner was 69-67.

Overall gross for any 2-day tournament is probably 6-7 shots higher than it should be. Day 1 leader had an even more epic collapse than me (76-92).

What other drivers did you hit? I agree about the Fast 12, I gained a little distance but my misses weren't too penal.

No problem man. And the AMP was actually a pretty good club but didn't beat the Fast 12 LS. The AMP was the second favorite out of the group. Hated the R11s just can't stand the bright white top but the silver on the LS and AMP is nice.

The biggest thing for me is the shaft option on the LS. It's a free upgrade to the Matrix Ozik 6m3 Black Tie which is a $300 shaft in itself and it's the real deal not a made-for shaft. Just gotta save a few more bucks up and I'm good to go.

I played on Saturday morning (7:20) and I agree it was barely blowing.. however, by the time we got to 14 it was blowing pretty hard. Friday was crazy. I saw a ball in the air go backwards because of the wind.

My team got second at the tournament. Won the long drive also so I had about $145 in gift cards to the pro shop there. Bought a Nike Method Core putter and man is that putter awesome.

I hit the driver straight just way too high for my liking and it ballooned a little also.

But Masamitsu I went the PGA store and hit the Fast 12 LS against the Bridgestone J40 430 and I'm getting the Bridgestone now. Man is that a good driver, the head looks more like a players driver and the shaft options are unreal. And it's cheaper than the Adams.
