SMASH FACTOR information on clubs anyone?

Driver types and smash factors? Anyone?

I have hit about 10 drivers on my launch monitor over the last week, so so far nothing has come close to the Titleist 983k, which was 1.51 Smash Factor. The next closest, which was not even close, was 1.47 ONE TIME, with all the rest maxing out at around that number, such as a $600 R5 TP with Diam. shaft, etc.
I have every ball on the market here just about, and tired alot.

Can anyone help me to reccomend a club, that they know has generated more than a 1.50 Smash Factor?

I have a Tour 9.5 Ft3 with NV Shaft on order, I hope thats at least 1.50. Either that, or its a trip back to the store to pick up one of the hundred used 983k's that do 1.51 occasionally and 1.50 all day long.

Shoot, even the slight mis hits on this 983k were more hot than the direct hits from the R5 TP thats 5x the cost.

Frustrating day. Learned alot.

Anyone have any advice what to try next for that 1.50+ club?

1.50 is supposed to be optimal... so dont expect to find many more of those unless you go HiCOR.

Yes 1.50 is good, but thats what shocking. I had count them 5! 5 different Taylormade Drivers here today, and not one of them was over 1.47. We wore ourselves out all day trying to get anything over 1.47 and we are sub 10 handicap golfers who shoot in the 70's. The clubs were just not hot at all, more like marshmellows.

1.47 is perfectly "normal".. I've got some in the 1.48's but not above that... sounds like your 983K is a ringer.

Thanks. 1.47 is looking good for the Taylormades. To bad it takes $5 balls and about 100 swings to get ONE over 1.46. Disappointment for sure.
