Interesting that he went from the WB to the S+. Guess he wanted more launch.

I saw the blue and assumed it was an S+. Sure, it doesn't have the flower graphics, but figured it was just a "proto" S+ since its essentially the same color.

Greg, any idea?

Wait, so you are telling me that the D+ & S+ are not the "next generation" of the Diamana's but something somewhat in the middle (and potentially made for Titleist 913 clubs)?

Could Rory's "whiteboard" prototype be one as well?

1. Thought RM was playing a proto from back in the day?
2. RF can hit any shaft he wants...he hits them just about the same..which has not been that great of late. Let's not act like it's the jettison to another level...IMO of course.

Not at all, I am just bumming that I dropped $300 on the new D+ (which didn't work for me that well after going from the Ahina, so I switched to a VC7.2). Loving the VC7.2 but I always have been a fan of MRC and the whiteboard.

In terms of RM & RF, I agree with you. RF has been all over the place, but it looks like whatever prototype RM is hitting, its working for him :)

Yeah, what gives. I thought the D+ and S+ where the "new" blue/whiteboards.

This all confuses the you-know-what out of me. Even the Mitsu website calls the D+ and S+ a new Diamana and specifically refers to them in parentheticals as (blueboard) and (whiteboard).

And now people are saying they are NOT the next gen Diamana?

Is Ricky's shaft just another version of the $700 Proto Diamana that isn't part of the typical product line? Is that possible?

So MRC released a line of shafts, Diamana D+ and S+, that are supposedly in between Gen 1 and Gen 2 Diamanas per their website, and is now going to release Gen 3 Diamanas a few months after?

This thread epitomizes what's great and terrible about GolfWRX. On the one hand, we get sneak peaks (thanks Greg). On the other, we ignore everything we've heard from the manufacturer and equipment partners and take one person's comments and blow them completely out of proportion.

It's a test proto of the new kaili coming out late this year to the tour. Similar to the BB feel. Launches like the red board but doesn't spin like the red board

You basically just described the entire fubuki line....high launch, low spin. If you look a their product history, Blue Board was the first product in the Original Diamana Series. Kai'li was the first of the 2nd Gen. Why would it be any different for the 3rd? Gotta be a 3rd Gen Blue. Probably one of MANY prototypes tested by RF

Guess you guys might be right... he could have been trying a been a proto of these:

Strategy of releasing an "in between" (S+, D+) followed by a new version within months of each other still doesn't make much sense to me, but that's just me obviously.

I guess by now you have seen the new graphics of the next Gen kaili/Blueboard that ricky is playing and that is comming out in a few weeks. I say what epitomizes what is wrong with this sight is that anonymous know it alls can spout opinion in the face of real industry folks like me who are happy to share info with the golf gearhead community. Instead of being greatful to have real info instead of wild speculation, people often get indignant and upset at me for sharing. This is why I dont post much anymore.

Dude I gotta be honest, I try to be laid back but if you are telling me that MRC is releasing a new line soon plus is an "in between" then I am going to rage.

Can we get a clarification on this rumor. I feel depressed now. Just ordered a S+ this afternoon.
