My What's in the Bag

I'm probably the opposite in most here in that I don't switch clubs unless there's a need, I've had 3 sets of irons my entire life, 3 putters a couple of drivers and fairway woods. If it's working for me there's no reason to change. With that said I've been playing since I was 7, which would have been 1987. At the age of 25 I more or less gave the game up due to burn out from a hefty junior career and an attempt to go beyond that after my junior life. I played a handful of times over the year but this year actually got the bug again. I'm glad to see that for the most part it's been like riding a bicycle. I still hit the ball well but the biggest struggle has been a loss of touch on the shorter shots and around the green. If I could figure that part out I could probably get back close to the golf I was used to a decade ago. The only upgrades I've currently added have been the woods and hybrid, I played around a lot with different woods and found that I hit these best, before that I had a Great Big Bertha & Callaway 3 wood that stayed in the big since both were released. Eventually I'll have to replace the Eye 2's, sadly I think the groove life will be the death of them in another year or two. I've grabbed some heads to shaft up and try out so we'll see what happens, but hopefully whatever it is will take me to retirement which I'll then worry about my senior set!

Agreed. I can see how some people here end up switching so often, it's a lot of fun trying out the new technology available. I ended up throwing the hybrid in there after a long hold out. I'm a good long iron player but the hybrid just makes it that much easier and with the 21*. I can knock that club 2 iron length and 3 iron length if I choke down so the versatility is awesome.
