Thanks for all the comments guys.

The R11 irons are nice. I haven't found anything out there that is better for me yet. The closest thing to knocking them out of the bag would be the JPX 800 Pros. I've reshafted them a couple times and I enjoy the Nippons the most (tried the stock KBS Tour 90s and DG SLs).

The SM4 wedges are taking me some time to get use to. I dont have 100% confidence in 3/4 to full shots yet. My wife has a set of CG14s that I might take for a test drive sometime soon.

Nice looking bag, but you need to play more golf. Golf clubs are for playing golf, not collector items, least those clubs. :)

I have a membership to a 9 hole course and keep track of how many times I play. I have marked down over 160 rounds of 9 this year between me and my wife (who just plays on the weekend with me). That is just at this course too. I think that is plenty of golf.

Washing my clubs after every use might be a little obsessive... =)

Do you find the R11 irons pretty forgiving??
[/quote]

I haven't played too many other irons so I can't give too many specific examples. For me they are just the right amount of forgiveness. If I have a terrible shot, I definitely know it. If its not a perfect strike, you still know it but the flight is still relatively good.

People love to hate on TM but they did good with these irons. The profile fits my eye (i.e. not shovel like) and feel wonderful on flush hits.

I've had the KBS Tour 90's and the DG SL's also, but am looking at the Nippons. Can you tell me what you like about them in your R11's? I have the earlier TM TP CB irons which were replaced by the R11's. They look great without the red weight color, nice work. Did acetone remove that color easily?

I started off with the Tour 90s (Reg flex) and played them for about a month. I don't really know what it was that I didn't like about them... they just didn't feel right. It might of been since they were -1/2" from when I got "fit" at a big box golf store. I hit nothing but toe shots and wanted the standard length back. I then ordered the Nippons and heard they play softer in flex so I got the stiff. These shafts have been in for most this season and are really "smooth" feeling. I love how they load up and how they don't feel harsh at all. About a month ago I tried some DG SL (reg flex) in about half my irons. The DGs really liked to be loaded hard to get the most out of them I felt. I really don't like going after the ball too much as I feel I lose that control from my normal swing. They were also a lot harsher (on good and bad hits) than the Nippons and Tour 90s. If you have a relatively smooth swing that doesn't try and compress the snot out of the ball, the Nippons are spot on.

As far as the red annodize removal, I did this with oven cleaner... and a lot of scrubbing. There are a few youtube videos out there on how to remove annodize from aluminum parts. Just be very careful and make sure you take the time to research what oven cleaner can do to the skin. I went through a frogger brush head during this too... thats how much scrubbing is needed. I would put the part in an oven cleaner bath for about 10 minutes, take out with pliers, wash under water and scrub with the copper brush. Some of the pieces did experience some pittting but you have to look really close. Took about 6 hours total... must of been some really tough anno. Worth every second of my time though. Love the new look as their appearance is 1000x cleaner.... and my original weights were turning pink (maybe from the sun??).

Correct. My 4 wood is playing at 42.5" which is the stock Titleist 910F length.

Love to see another gentleman using a 4 wood. I just put the 15* 910f away in favor of the 17* with a whiteboard. It's so much easier to float one on a green on a par 5 and I can still keep it low off the tee.

Glad my TP CB's don't have the red colored weights! Thatsalottawork! But, they do look 1000% better. Nice job.

Thanks for the analysis of the DG Sl's and the KBS shafts . . .exact same impressions I had and always wondered what was going on with me. Will definitely try the Nippons now, I also like to just swing the club and not have to go after it, and like smooth over harsh any day. Thanks again!
