First Hole In One!

I believe in karma

My grandparents are 90 years old and Alzheimer's is taking them fast. Mom and Dad are both dead, so
I took this week off from work to move them out from Texas to California so that I can watch over them and be with them in their final years. They arrive tomorrow.

I wound up getting their apartment set up early and actually debated whether or not to go play a round or just rest. Of course, next thing I know I'm parked at the course and halfway to the first tee.

Got paired with one of the starters and a member of the men's club.
I pull out a sleeve of Srixon ZUR-S that I traded a WRX member for.
I'm having a decent day until we get to hole #8 (119yds) I hit 9 iron and it hops once and disappears. I'm stunned. Both partners say "yep, that's in!" while all I can do is make the "O face" :(
Now I'm having a great day!

Wound up shooting 81 which is another record for me (16 handicap).
This is clearly not in my normal repertoir, and all I can blame it on is karma.
Go out and do something nice today and see if it works for you.

Neat story. Shortly before my grandfather passed away, I started carrying one of his old neon yellow Pinnacles in my bag (he was "famous" among family and friends for using those yellow balls for years). After finishing a round just days before he died, I decided to go and play a quick 4 hole loop (1,2,8,9) with that yellow ball, kind of a last hurrah because we all knew deep down the end was approaching. I was 1 under, hitting all 4 fairways and all 4 greens on 4 of the toughest holes on the course. Kind of a cool feeling when I finished, and I still carry that ball in my bag to this day.
