clearly a shaft upgrade. TM doesn't choose how much oban charges for a shaft offering. If people are saying the shaft alone is MSRP of $800 then id say you're getting a deal. but getting fit and knowing if th shaft suits you would be a good idea as well. I'm sure we'll see a bunch of the white oban shafts on the BST come february.

Yeah, maybe. But isn't it funny how, in the past, there has been so much discussion about how TM puts their own graphics on aftermarket shafts and everyone has always said, "Well, TM is the top dog so they can dictate a little what the shaft companies have to agree to." Well, the only reason to put a hugely overpriced shaft in your driver is to pull down a wad of cash. Where is the TM influence on the shaft pricing now? None of that seems like a deal to me, but I won't be buying it anyway...so...

Coming from a shaft OEm that produced some of the best "valued" shafts IMHO, the Kiyoshi White will now be one of the worst valued shafts on the market.

Also, the GD DI series looks really good with the R1 head colors and we all know how it plays! I just wish I could screw mine into it!

from what i can tell it comes with a kiyoshi white, so when you go to get fitted just make sure that's not the shaft that works best for you

I got to hit it down in Naples. Its a heck of a shaft and looks amazing in the R1, very piercing ball flight. But i dont have $900 to blow and i doubt TM will be sending me one to try out. but a guy can hope right?

For fun pulled it up in our Special Order system at GG...Have to go to the R1 TP at $499 to get that shaft as an option, then a $450 upcharge on the shaft, so before tax...$949!!
