I have framed the pic of Sned's bag and will look at it any time I am tempted to replace my equiment.

Actually I recall the Sned/s does use a cover on the Rossie - but it may have come to the putter "late in life." Haven't checked on when the White Hot XG model came to market, but I recall Sneds saying on The Morning Drive that he has been using this model (maybe just the Rossie) since high school. He seems to be one of the most genuine guys on tour. (Still think Sneds and GMac have been the best - most interesting and articulate - pro-hosts on The Moring Drive that I can remember.) At the moment, between Kuch and Sneds, B-Stone wins the "Family Circle" award for their players.

Guys.... His putter's not THAT bad. Look at the face, back, and flange. Those areas just have a few dings. The sole just looks like it's been abused because it's entirely covered with lead. Lead tape has been pressed/melted into the sole hence the peaking of letters from "White Hot". You can also tell by the difference in color from the lead on the sole to the stainless steel of the putter.

I remember stricker having an even olfer original white hot putter in the bag for years. Just shows how good the odysseys are, inexpensive and no fuss but effective.

I missed this the first time, but I love the WITB. Big fan of his because of the way he plays: "no fuss". The clubs match that. I guess in a way it also makes sense how he was able to throw a random set together and still win in the first round of last year's Volvo Matchplay when his clubs were delayed on the flight.

Don't forget he shortened it 1/16" by dragging it around the parking lot.

Love those J40's and the Steel fibers. I just put them in my MP-53's - very nice, still good feel, longer, they are awesome.

Great bag, Better Playa! For me, his gear reinforces some of my own approach to moving the ball around the course. I play/rotate two mutt bags - one has 7 brands, the other 5 with putters as I have pieced them together for best fit to my swing, yet still keep my inner ho' happy with some newer clubs.

But, the putter part of Sneds bag resonated the most to me. An older, beat version for him - that is all I ever hope to end up with! Now, I use Hamilton F2s in both bags - easily my lowest cost clubs, yet I have always been best at that part of golf. It has seemed that it is just a mass of steel weight on the end of a pendulum of which I can pretty easily control its "bang" onto the ball to roll it a direction and distance I choose.
Function here over fashion, and I wouldn't want a +$300 (Cameron?)[s]Vokey [/s]even if I could afford one.

Any idea why he carries 2 identical drivers?

Is it kind of like what Westwood used to do only practice with one club and use the gamer just for tournament rounds?

Or are they slightly different in specs for different course set ups?

One of those is 8.5* and the other is 9.5*. Identical shafts, so he was obviously just testing both to see which loft fit him better for that course. Tons of pros do this every week (those who don't use drivers with adjustable lofts).

Seems to be a pattern here. Most weathered mixed bags on tours . Snedeker -Leads 2013 money list, #3 on 2012 money list . Langer #1 2012 money list . most top 10's 17 . Lehman #2 2012 money list, leader GIR 2012. Not to shabby for bags that cost less then a $1000. As far as cheap putters who can forget Fuyrk's $11million dollar payday with a $20 putter.

I don't think very many of them. I would guess both of those drivers are relatively close finished loft with one being more open/closed than the other. He broke the driver he used for years and I heard rumors he was struggling to find a replacement. He seems to have figured it out, no matter which driver it is...

In the picture of the putter face, it looks like the epoxy is deteriorating. While I was watching him in the final round of the AT&T yesterday, it looked like he had a new insert installed (black swirl logo, no texture), but I could not tell for sure. Can anyone confirm or disconfirm whether he replaced the original insert?

Edit/Update: I think my eyes may have been playing tricks on me (or maybe I subconsciously hope that he will change the insert? lol... the thing has been beat like a rented mule). I have been scanning any images I can find from this past weekend and it looks like the original insert is still in there.

Do the shafts in his irons really play like stiff shafts, or is their something about Aerotech shafts I don't know?

240 yd 3 or 4 irons with a shaft that plays like a S300 or PX 6.0 seems to be pushing it.
