For the life of me, I can't find a list of custom shafts available, but it seems like you guys aren't just ordering them blind. Have you found a fitting cart, or just going off what you know you already like? I contacted GG near me and they don't have anything in house other than the stock shafts. Any ideas in NJ where to hit multiple shafts?

I live in Northern NJ.

Call Tappan Golf, they are a high-end fitter that has demos of all the premium shafts (Fujikura, Mitsubishi, Oban, Graphite Design, etc.). I'm not sure if they received their Covert demo heads yet, last time I checked was a few weeks ago.

Believe it or not, but Novo (Tappan) is not a nike dealer. As of last week, they had not decided whether or not they were going to carry Nike at all...

Driver: Covert Tour Kuro Kage 60x @ neutral 9.5*

3 wood: Covert Tour Kuro Kage 70x @ right 14*

I never thought I would have Nike clubs in my bag but these Coverts are the real deal. The Covert driver was consistently 10-12 yards longer than my 913D3 8.5 with original Diamana WB 73x.

I was in Dick's Sporting Goods this afternoon just killing time. The Nike Covert display only had three performance drivers (and no tours) with abouth 12 open slots and most of the fairways gone. Every other display was full with no missing clubs. The RFX looked awesome at address.

Nike looks off to a hot start from the snapshot I've seen.

I put a list of shafts in a PDF file in the pre release thread in that forum
[/quote]

While it's a nice gesture, and I appreciated it, but the PDF file from Nike doesn't have all the custom shafts you can put in this driver head.

It didn't have the shaft I selected, for instance, in this head, in the PDF file.

Again, I recommend folks go to the Golfsmith website and get into their custom order department. There, they list ALMOST every shaft that Nike offers in this head. They obviously also list the upcharge cost.

I purchased the Nike Covert Tour version on the 8th. Very tempted to pick up the 3 wood tour as well.

Quick question for you guys, is there an easy way to tell ideally how long a driver shaft should be compared to your height? I have mine at the stock length but it seems too long for me.

Thanks in advance!

My precious. Tour-head looks amazing with black face & sole. Tour Wrap 2G in white.

The zebra-coloured club is one of the 2 clubs my wife gets to play with.

Unless its been updated since I last looked on Tuesday the list I posted was far more comprehensive than the options listed on the Golfsmith custom build platform. That's Nikes published official list. I then believe it goes without saying that basically any other halfway reputable brand shaft is also available as a custom order.

I was talking to the golf rep in DSG today when I got my Covert Tour & he mentioned that he prefers the VRS 3 wood as opposed to the Covert 3 wood. He said distance wise they were similar but he had better feel w the VRS and felt it lied nicer behind the ball off the deck. Just food for thought

Got mine today & I'm in love lol

Covert Tour
Stock Kuro Kage cut down an inch to 44.75
Multi-Compound Whiteout (red) grip
Set to 9.5 Neutral

I hit about 50 shots on the simulator. Took a little bit to get warmed up since I haven't played in a while, but once I did it was great. The instant feedback is great & very helpful to make adjustments on the fly. Started at 10.5 but quickly went down to 9.5. Once we took the inch off & I started hitting my ball (2013 20XI-X) it made a huge difference. Spin rate generally in the 2200-2300 range with ball speeds ~155-165. I think my longest was 292 (once we took the inch off & I used the 20XI) with most around about 275-280. I'm extremely excited to actually get this baby on the course, unfortunately with the 6" of snow still on the ground here in NY it's not looking promising for anytime soon lol

Well I already have myself a very sweet driver Titleist 913 D2 9.5* with Miyazaki B.Asha 4S shaft asI could see myself ordering & until I hit the Tour model on a launch monitor . Lol I had to pick up the Tour Model as I did hit it & was impressed with the numbers. It for now will be my back up driver. Or I may start out with the Nike on the front 9 & if I'm hitting it well I will keep it for the back if not back to the 913. It will be interesting. Only concern was my spin was 2978. I thought maybe it would be lower but it has something to do with my angle of attack I guess. Although my launch was 13.6 carry 258 yds. & average distance is 280 with a few 280 plus with an average 105 swing speed. Stock Silver KuroKage 60 stiff neutral set at 10.5 with a standard Black/Red Dri -Tac Winn grip.

It's still the list from last year's offerings on Golfsmith's Custom portal for the Nike options.

Just waiting on round 2 of testing this weekend before pulling the trigger.
