Global Golf "Mint Condition" clubs

First off sorry to the admins if this is posted in the wrong section, first time starting a new post and I think this is the correct section to put it.

 

Anyways a week ago I ordered from Global Golf an RBZ 3 wood, a 3 hybrid and a 4 hybrid. The clubs I ordered were all in "mint condition". They had a buy 1 get 1 25% off on the hybrids that was automatically adjusted in your cart and on top of that I was able to use a 25% off coupon on used LH clubs. Total paid was $257 out the door with shipping. They have a free shipping coupon on orders over $199 but when I saw the details it stated 1 coupon per order, so I just paid the $6 for shipping that way they wouldn't take off my LH discount. They used Fed Ex for shipping, the problem was that the clubs were being shipped to my office which closes at 5pm. Fed Ex tried to deliver them to my office twice at 8pm! I caught on the first day and just told them to hold it at the facility and picked them up yesterday. Hit them at the range today and they are amazing for my swing. Anyways the post is basically to show the condition of the clubs. They indicated that they came with no headcovers so I was a bit worried that the might get damaged when shipped but they were brand new in wrapper with some socks that saved them from any dings. Saved about $250 over buying them at a local golf store and am extremely happy with my purchase.

Thanks for the post; you're right in that for lefties, globalgolf clubs in mint condition are the best value around. Also, for future reference, they will allow that free shipping code on top of the lefty discount.

I've gotten "mint condition" clubs from Global Golf that still had the plastic on the heads and shafts. Very pleased with "mint condition". "Good condition", now that's another story.

Thanks domer good to know for future reference. Rbrb I have heard some horror stories on "good condition" clubs. I made sure to do my hw, once I heard most if their mint condition clubs were brand new I was sold

Good deal lefty. Just to let you know I recently purchased a Nike Str8 fit driver form Gobalgolf in good condition and was very surprised when I recieved the club and it looked like it had never been hit. There was just a couple of scratches on the hosel nut from the head being removed a couple of times. Club cost me $ 64 The best part was when you make your first purchase with them you get subsciption to Golf Digest $ 25 value but if you opt out and mail them the rebate form they will refund the $ 25 intead of sending the mag.

Total cost for str8 fit driver $ 39

Agreed....got a mint VR Pro LE fairway for $80 last week that still had plastic on the head and shaft as well as all shaft labels and UPC's...

RJ, those are not really "socks", more like cheaply made knit cover. btw, GG mints are the BEST for all club hos

A few months ago I bought 2 clubs, one described as mint, the other excellent. The mint condition club (R11S) had a significant paint chip on the crown and the excellent (RBZ) had a big pop up mark. I'm willing to concede that the chip could have happened during shipping or a careless customs employee but the pop up mark didn't just suddenly appear there in transit... Wasn't a small one either. It put me off buying from them again, I've heard their return policy is good but they are too far away for me to return any not as described clubs economically.

Just got my "mint" vr pro LE driver from them in the same condition. $102 shipped. Even has plastic on grip

I just got an excellent r11s fairway wood that looked like it barely got hit in the store. It still had the sticker on the shaft and everything. Very satisfied with them

Interesting tidbit about their return policy, it generally is very good, and they are somewhat lenient on timelines if you are just upfront and honest - ie don't fabricate some elaborate story...just tell them the truth.

Used clubs have 14 return policy no questions asked/no restock - However, MINT does not fall into this category. Mint, even though listed as used on the website falls into the "New" return policy, thus no 14 day// no questions asked return. Instead you get the New return policy of 30 days, however if you hit the club, you have to play restocking fee, same as if you bought something in the "New" category. It's a bit shady to me, and I've told them as much. Anyway, keep this in mind when looking at Mint clubs...

That being said, Global Golf has been very good working with me on returns, including a few that were beyond the normal 14 day window. They are a pretty solid company, offer trade in bounus often, and c/s is usually excellent. [size=4]Also, factor in some extra time for shipping, they generally take 2 days to ship anything out unless you use next or 2nd day air. Those orders will shop out in one day.[/size]
