I got the XHot Pro's on the course this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday. I am pretty impressed by the results, especially the way they played going straight in the bag with no range time other than the few balls with each to warm up before my round.

Initial thoughts - The driver reminds me of a newer, modern Great Big Bertha. Has a great feel and sound, but I prefer the feel/sound of the R1 V2. The 3wood with the TS 8.2 is a beast! I'd put it up agains any of the other low spin/deep faced 3 woods I have used, but easier to hit off the deck. It definitely is keeping pace with the RBZ 2 and I didn't think anything would.

It will. I have hit it a few times on a grass range, good for good it is really nice but it wasn't as forgiving as the RBZ 2.

It definitely does, I have 2 rounds in with the Callaway setup and hit one 3 wood over 300 (downhill though) but would still qualify for an XBomb patch based on Callaway's "4 Bills" path for Phil's drive with cart path assist

Going to try to find some used premium balls to use for this, I have a few shag bag Pentas and ProV1's that I can use.

Used the XHot Pro's today for the first time - very impressed, they were very good for having no practice with them and pretty much going out there cold turkey. Conditions were very wet since it just poured last night but got some good carry distances from today's round.

Tai, you ever own a j33r? I'm just wondering how something like that would compare. Also, if nothing from the new crop gives you better #'s than last years set up, does it still go in the bag?

Sweet idea. Surprised we aren't seeing many predictions. Want to see feedback on the .2 vs .3 speeders. If higher launch and similar spin with the .3 is there than I see a purchase in the making. Wish we had a video to compare tempo and transition.

Mark, never owned one. I have hit a few of the last few Tour Stage releases that were pretty good, but nothing that blew me away (and they're super expensive). I'm interested in the number for sure, but also interested on how they play on the course just as much. We will see how this plays out, the VR LTD were in my bag about 90% of the time last year with a few experiments throughout the year just for some change when things are just way off. I have had the TM and Cally setup on course already for multiple rounds.. the Nike's are definitely going to have some serious competition from the 2013 stuff for sure. From what I can tell so far, the TM V2 is already longer than the VR, and still need to get more rounds in with the Callaway stuff. Not sure the 913D3 will be able to keep up, but the FD is really good.

I will definitely get numbers comparing the .2 and .3 for you, but only in the R1 V2. So far, the R1 tour head is the only head I had to turn the loft up rather than down. I have it set at 9.5 and everything else is 8.5. I have a few really bad videos of my swing but don't know how to post them.. and not sure if I want to post them on here lol.

Tentative time for the shootout is this Thursday, should have some more results then. So far, the R1 Tour is no joke.. I think it's the longest of the bunch from what I have seen.

My wallet isn't going to like those results. Looking to test out the retail version for now before dropping $1k on the tour. I have the 913D3 which is great but looking for something that could be better. Did you put the Retail R1 against any of the other retail models?

I've noticed a lot of guys saying the 913 D3 isn't so great anymore... I wonder if the D2 would be the better choice. I played the 910 D3, then demoed the 913's and liked the D2 a lot more.

The only way I would do that is if there was a certain brand driver that was WAY better then another from a different brand whose 3 wood was WAY better than anything else. I'm VERY OCD about having my driver and 3 wood match, always have been! I'm not OCD about anything else though except top lines of putters being mint lol

Hey, what about me? I play the D2 also... it will probably spin a little more, but I went down one degree of loft from D3 to D2 and got better numbers. D2 sounded and felt better to me too.

Very curious on the FD too... People are loving it all over the board and many finding it to be longer than the stage 2. I love my 910F right now, but these reviews make me realllllllly want one.

I tried the R1 and can't get past the sound and feel so gonna dump it. I got a VR LE and that thing is sick, very underrated driver. I played with a couple buddies of mine this past weekend and they are looking for one now. So the rotation for me is VR and 913.

Just not as abrasive as Scratch (just kidding Scratch lol :tongue: ) Had a pre-shootout range session today and messed around with some things, and I think I agree on the D2 being better. I don't like how big the head is, but it definitely seems to perform better than the D3 overall - they are both pretty solid IMO.
