Claims it was simply what Snead alluded to (as well as MANY others across the net forums) in changing to a non-rolling release, ie not crossing over. Just a classic cut-swing move that was not common back then but very well known now and currently what Tiger is moving too.

It seems like every instructional video I see of Johnny Miller there is something he finds that "nobody else has ever talked about" and usually it's complete non-sense. The guy knows a lot of good information but I don't care for the way he presents his knowledge. As far as his Ben Hogan secret goes, that was simply a result of many other preceding components in his swing.

The reason why is 99% of people who watch Tiger are not going to know that. What JM just said there - he may or may not actually believe it. But it adds to the mysticsm of Tiger. The average viewer will think Tiger is some sort of freak of nature and the more magical they think he is, the more they will watch in awe. Good for ratings.
