Mitsubishi Rayon's new Kuro Kage shaft from 2013 Valero Texas Open

Not much info yet other than the shaft isn't "painted" but rather a ion plating. 60 grams in the stiff. Got a few photos

Good point and from an outsiders point of view would make sense.

From a cosmetic stand point I like it. I have played some of the original KK and it took a bit to get used to the paint job at address.

It looks a lot better than the standard Kuro Kage paint.

I have the 80 gram KK Silver in my 3 wood and it is labeled proto also. Exact same performance as the stock 60 KK Silver in my Covert driver. I'll try to put up a pic tomorrow but other than the "PROTO 80X" it looks just like the "60G FLEX-X".
