I understand the premise of staggered releases and that many places are still playing golf through the winter (me included) but October seems somewhat late no? Isn't that about the time north eastern golfers are starting to put away the clubs and thus in turn limits the potential market for them?

Then again, I don't have the Datatech numbers so I could very well be way off.

has anyone tried the "Tri-Bounce" wedges? when they first came out, I noticed Rickie had them in the bag then immediately went back to his vokey's...

There's just nothing I find compelling about these wedges. We live in an era of Callaway MD 2, Vokey's (Which Rick uses lolz), and a lot of other great wedges. These are just....unfortunate.

Pretty sure the intent is to get Rick Man to use them. Nike releases clubs that Tiger doesn't even use with the hopes that eventually he'll put them into play (or they just make him his own version 5 or whatever that's really nothing like the retail version).

Stupid stampings aside, what about these doesn't compel you? Sounds like a ton of loft options (47* to 63*), 2 different finishes, fancy sole designs, a little tech in the leading edge design. I get where the proto could dissuade one, but I'm thinking non proto versions might be sleepers.

Just got my 56* and 62* today. 48* and 50* are coming tomorrow. Will post pics as soon as I make them mine

Received the 55 proto from a buddy as a gift and have to say really like how it plays. Played the original trusty rusty and have a say I am very pleased with this new one. Have a 50.08 and 60.10 ordered and hopefully it should be here today. But played last weekend and only used the 55 proto from 50 and in and have to say the grind is so versatile that could play it as my highest lofted wedge very easily.
