i was reading golf world today and saw somthing that said a modern looking iron (or somthing like that) was being tested at a tour event. anyone else hear anything about these?

I mean the most modern iron i have seen is the fusion iron. I dont know how much more modern you can get.

These are the new sole grind x tours...these one are without the weight medalions.

Are you sure? Weight Medalions are there to fine tune swingweight after they come off the production line.

From what I know these are a "progressive" cavity back version of the X-Tours. Bigger cavity in the 3/4, less in the 5/6/7, etc.

I would hazzard a guess that cally will release a combo set with these, much like the 735's.

They are coming out with a progressive set and I do know for sure on the grind. The medallions are used for weight but these were weight sorted and made to not need the medalions for proto purposes.

Is it me or do those Proto X Tours look like TS202s with a subtle change in the cavity... don't blame them basing those irons on the TS202s, one of the best iron sets ever made IMHO
