Does your bag brand match your club(s)?

Figured I would ask... The bag I think I like the most does not match any of the club brands I carry or plan on buying. But that makes my OCD flair up a tad and I would hate to have that bug me every time I looked at my bag.

I think what's amazing is that club manufacturers have gotten golfers to pay to be billboards for their brand.

Imagine paying money to buy a McDonald's shirt and hat so you can strut around so strangers will know that you're a Big Mac set-type guy. I suppose a guy wearing a Burger King hat and a guy wearing a McDonald's hat would puff up their chests as they pass on the street . . .

I have a Titleist 14-way stand bag that has been without a single Acushnet club the past 16 months. Got an amazing deal on a trade for it and love everything about the bag from looks to dividers.

I have a Titleist Sta-Dry. I was looking at the Sun Mountain H2NO, but I got the Titleist bag cheaper. I use it during the winter for rain rounds. Otherwise I use a Sun Mountain C130 during the rest of the time. I mostly play Titleist irons.

I've played Adams for years, never used their bag. Aside from the staff bag I don't like their look. If they made a decent looking bag, I may use it.

Had a Wilson bag, never had Wilson clubs. Only reason I got rid of it was because the TSA busted it by not returning it correctly to my travel bag before giving it back to the airline. So, now I have a Maxfli bag, never had Maxfli clubs.

Sun Mountain here, the company that made my bag doesnt make clubs. Its a great bag though and the nice thing is that if I decided to switch brands I dont feel like a tool using a bag of a club company whose clubs I dont use.

No. I have several bags and sets of clubs, but only one comes close (Cleveland) but not the putter, ball, or longer clubs. Most of my sets are not all one-brand, either, with utility clubs and putter and ball being of different brands to start with.

Have a Mizuno bag (from my father-in-law) but no Mizunos in the bag. But I can relate to the OCD aspect of it.

But isn't it that way with most consumer items? Shirts and pants with logos, cars with name plates, etc. Everything has some sort of 'identifier' on it. I always wanted to negotiate a lower price on a car to leave the dealer name on the car.

Years ago, the only Titleist equipment I used was the ball, but when I needed a new carry bag, their premium carry bag (x-47) had the best design for me.

It was a very durable bag and I still use it today. So the only Titleist equipment I use is the ball and the bag....

Since that time, I have needed golf carry bags for other reasons/locations. After doing some research, I learned than all Titleist bags are made by Sun Mountain.

I have purchased the SM H2No and it is a great bag. I think all my future bags will be SM because I do feel weird playing with a bag with enormous corportate logos on the side, especially if none of the clubs in the bag are from the company on the bag.

As I play mostly Ping clubs, I also have the Hoofer (Advantage), it is also a great bag which I have no qualms about carrying.

I've mostly used Sun Mountain bags for the past 20 years, but I do have a TM staff bag for the rare times when I ride in a cart. I have a TM RBZ driver now, but the majority of the time I've had the TM bag I didn't have any TM clubs.

Although I have a Ping Rapture V2 that ain't going anywhere soon and I hit my new (2nd season now) G20 irons so well and so straight I doubt I'll be changing them anytime soon either. Soooooo,,,,, I'm seriously considering buying the Ping DLX bag. Love the look.

I'm currently gaming a TaylorMade driver, Adams 3 wood, Callaway 5 wood, Titleist hybrid, MIzuno Irons, Nike Wedges, Odyssey putter and a Srixon ball. You'd think I had any possible bag choice covered but my two favorite bags that I use most are a Beres staff and a Sun Mountain stand bag......

I use to care. But, since I've joined this site and gotten to know other brands and styles, I've since gone to mismatching.

I will say though - Demo'ed a 910D2 at a local course - swapped out my R11 for a 910D2 - which I hit well enough - which lead me to try the 910F - which I replaced my R11 3wood with - which lead me to consider other Titleist products - which lead me to buy 3 of the new Pom headcovers - which lead me to spot a set of 710 AP2's which replaced my G15's - all the while using Scotty putters.

So, call me a poser if you will. I'm still rocking my Mizuno Aerolite Winged X stand bag. Unfortunately, its becoming a pain in the a** with the 2G wrap grips on my irons. Anyone have a Sun Mountain C130 for sale? Green preferably.

EDIT: Forgot... I still game Mizuno T11 wedges. So, I am a poser I guess. Crap.

I used to match with my Titleist irons, driver and wedges with the Titleist 14 way premium stand bag. Recently switched over to Ping G25's and a Sun Mountain SLX! I usually like my stuff to match but having a no name bag makes more sense if you change equipment often. 14 way is an awesome bag though and I would still game it with the Pings.
