100% agreement.

I'm glad that OEM's are getting on board with SteelFibers now (Cleveland and Titleist did so this year to go with Bridgestone. TM's about to) but you've got to be a heck of a sales person to convince someone that on top of the $800 for their new irons they should shell out another $450 to upgrade them to SteelFiber's (average of $56 per shaft across the OEM's).

I don't begrudge the club OEM's nor the shaft OEM's the prices, but it's going to keep the best fitting option out of some people's hands. I almost choked last year when I saw that Matrix Programs and PXi's were the same upcharge cost from Mizzie. Given the MSRP of both of them, those numbers simply don't jive for me.

If I missed it, I apologize but I didn't see any answers to soft/hard stepping....

With the variable weighting for each shaft will it have an impact on performance? Anyone?

It's in there somewhere. I don't remember the exact details, but I do remember stepping coming into question and I [i]think[/i] the guy from TT said the shafts were designed with this ability in mind, so hard/soft stepping shouldn't be a problem at all. If I give these a shot, more than likely it'll be soft-stepped X100s.

Good question! Not sure yet. Have some G10's that could use new shafts, but thinking about selling them outright because I have G25's I love. Eyeing some Bridgestone J40DPC's so maybe a shaft swap into those...

[/quote]I know you love the G series and IMO those DPC's have almost equal playability in a players looking package. I would be real interested to hear how those work out for you.
