There's a bit of Hogan stuff in Overton's swing. From transition to left hip.

You know that you don't have anything to worry about, right? It's 10 posts of '+1' , and the like, to run up your count to 75. Eleven intelligent posts and you're good. At least that's the way I read it.

I see similarity in the right arm at the start of the backswing. Boy, his head drops quite a bit in the DS, kinda ducks right before impact.

I was watching ON the Range last night or whatever its called, and Butch's brother was looking at Woodlands swing and said it reminded him of VJ and Couples. I almost threw up in my mouth. I know his swing is different than his original Hoganish swing, but still. They were talking about his "lateral motion" and him working "underneath". I don't see much of that in his swing. As they discussed this they were showing woodland doing sawed off - holdoff cuts, lol. I just thought to myself how do these guys get paid to shovel this bull?

Sometimes I wonder if these guys just dumb down their stuff for the public and actual do know what they're talking about. But that's insane!!

Yeah, I saw it as well. To give the benefit of the doubt, he was talking about how he gets to his left side with his legs & feet and how he rolls his left foot to the outstep while keeping his upper body back, increasing axis tilt. As such, he's more "underneath it" than "on top." All true, just not stated in the best way perhaps. None of those guys get very technical and obviously are not technical teachers, but more feel based I believe. Different strokes.

Well understood, I really like this show, but the commentators come off as clowns. If you are going to have a show like that, which has potential to be really great, don't eff it up fitting a circle in a square peg. It was just a bad break down and explanation. If Woodland is on his left side and underneath at the same time, what is going on with the club face? And how is in any relation similar to what Couples or VJ does. And if that is the 'feel' they are describing, how different does Woodland's underneath holdoff drill and VJ's flip feel?

It was a total mis-mash of information. This is just the latest example. They say dumb chit all the time, or give half the story. You may as well have Holly up there talking, at least we can stare at her cans inbetween swings. She don't even need to talk, just use a pointer in a school teacher outfit.... something. please.

We should get our own show.

The concept for this show is great, the result: meh. The commentators do shovel just about as much [insert whatever seems fit] as I could ever imagine. Mute+frame by frame seems to be the answer.

That being said, the first knowledgable stuff that I've heard on this show came up last night... Just replace everyone by CH3.

Wow -- you'd think these guys grew up caddying at the same club or something. Way more similarities than differences; other than Nelson's higher hands / arms / plane going back, cut from the same cloth. Thanks for the pairing!

Lots of likeness in Kaymer's overall swing, but just as I see in all modern players, the right hip and leg tends to stall and straighten and doesn't go thru impact as Hogan's does. Also arms fly out and away from the body and do not stay as connected.
