Looking for a good place to stay in Myrtle

Anyone have suggestions on where to stay in Myrtle. We have an annual trip to Myrtle and have stayed all over, but haven't really like any one place. We have stayed at Legends, Breakers, Myrtlewood, and another place in N. Myrtle. We realized we want to be close to Broadway at the Beach. Looking for above average accommodations.

 

Any suggestions?

Perhaps you could try the Barefoot Yacht Club. 25 minutes north, so perhaps not as close as you'd like to Broadway at the Beach.

Rather than condo, may want to check out the La Quinta @ 42nd Ave. area, the Embassy Suites on side street across from Ripley's aquarium (blanking on st. name) is also nice. There is also a Comfort Suites not far from TeeBonz that is nice and had tempurpedic beds. When lived in NC, used to travel down a day ahead of rest of group prior to annual golf trip.

You can look out by World tour and the old Amusement park at places to stay also that are close to Broadway!

Just went to MB and stayed at Barefoot Resort. Huge 4 person, 2 bedroom suite. great view from the 7th floor. might be too far from broadway for you, but we loved it.

North myrtle beach is great

North myrtle beach plantation is a great place right on the beach

There are a lot of iffy accommodations in MB. The Marriott is very solid. No worries there.

Barefoot, Grande Dunes, Marriot, and Embassy Suites/Kingston Plantation owned accomodations will be safe bets- avoid the area around World Tour and old amusement park,very iffy and hope member was just being sarcastic!

If your going to be driving though South Carolina The Cliffs at Glassy Is simply and amazing course

But it's a good drive from myrtle beach

I like Barefoot for staying and playing. For location to Broadway check out Myrtlewood villas.

Island Vista on the beach is great. Very nice in house restaurant for breakfast and/or other meals. Very reasonable for oceanfront this time of year.

It is 60th Ave North in MB. (between Broadway, 2miles & Grande Dunes/Marriott, 2 miles) Great location too.

I grew up in MB, one of the nicest hotels in town is the Grande Dunes Marriot, and your only about a 8-10 minute cab ride from Broadway.

The Caribbean isn't bad. I haven't been to it in years (I grew up with the grandson of the owner). It's not top of the line, but it would qualify for above average.

I stay at The Caribbean every year on a guys golf trip. Rooms are clean and large with a decent common room / kitchen. Average to above average condition. Fairly cheap, and free parking right across the street. The breakfast buffet at the Sea Captains House next door is the best part. Get George to make you the worlds best omelet! Dinner there not my favorite.

I stay at Sheraton Broadway Plantation. Good room sizes and you could walk to Broadway if you wanted.

It's the only place I've ever stayed, have gone down each spring for the past 10 years or so. It's just fine, of course we don't spend a lot of time there. They did a huge expansion over the past few years. I've stayed in the suites in the main building as well as the condos across the street, both are good. Staff is pretty friendly and they have a happy hour for the guests on Wed.
