Lost my old Nike players towel last time I played. I am looking for a new one now and I want to get something cool. I am thinking either a 59guy towel or a Bettinardi towel. Any suggestions?
[/quote]
I owned a Bettinardi towel once but in the end I sold it because I realized I couldn't bring myself to use a $50 towel despite how perfect it looked with my bag. The new Stinger towels are sick. Maybe get a GolfWRX towel from the GolfWRX store?

Just thought I would post a few of my more recent golf photos.

The first three are from the University of Idaho Golf Course.

The next one is a at a little par 3 course Airway Hills that is literally in the middle of a wheat field. The longest hole on the course is 172 yards downhill.

The one below is from Gold Mountain that overlooks the 17th and 18th holes of the Olympic Course.

 • 4 weeks later...

I am about to go take a multivariable calculus final that I have been studying my butt off for. But anyway I am going to be home for break for the next four weeks and I am going to be playing a bit of golf. I am also going to finish doing the touch-up paint on the driver I redid (see page 1) and I am also going to post pictures of some of the other clubs I own that are out of the bag.

 • 5 weeks later...

A few weeks ago I started playing a set of Nike Split Cavity Irons (2008?) to see if I liked them. At first I was a little bit hesitant on whether I really like them or not. But after hitting them enough, the soft feel of the forged heads and the workability really grew on me. I was able to trade my old irons in for these and still receive a little store credit for my irons as well (WINNING).

Nike Spilt Cavity Forged 3-PW (Only play 4-PW)

Grips - Winn PCi TL

Shafts - Dynamic Gold SL S300

Nice swing, sweet bag, beautiful pics and I read your thread in the other section regarding buying "kids" their equipment versus the kids buying it themselves.

Excellent question & thread!

I did not look at your asking the question as "counting other people's money," or "out of someone having what you do not have," those are just red herrings that someone throws out to divert attention instead of answering the question.

You seem like a super young man and do not EVER be afraid to ask the hard question(s) just because it may make others uncomfortable or is considered non-PC-

You have a very good moral compass and the self confidence to apply it-

Let that be your guide, and not the sheep that make up the majority of EVERY group that will attempt to rattle you-

You are different-

Continue to be kind, and to assist those who are less fortunate than you-

Stand Firm in your principles, even in the face of adversity and when challenged-

Stay humble, yet do not be afraid to display your self-confidence when appropriate-

It ain't braggin if you back it up!

And lead from the front-

My very Best to You Des, in school, on the course, & beyond-

Fairways & Greens My Friends,
Richard

In the end, only three things matter~

How much that you loved...

How mightily that you lived...

How gracefully that you accepted both victory & defeat...

GHIN: Beefeater 24

Near the end of the summer I took on a little project of repainting my backup driver. I haven't gotten around to doing the touch up painting yet, but here are some pictures of it so far.

Here it is before.

I'll try and get some final pictures up after I finish the other painting.

Nice mixed bag.

What kind of paint or substance and process did you use to get your driver to look like this? Is it durable? Could it be done to a putter? Thanks.

I actually haven't played it yet. It has just sat inside the house so I am not really sure on the durability. But in terms of paint I just used a $5 can of Krylon spray paint and did about 3 coats.

Last week I acquired a couple of new items for my bag so I thought I might share.

First off, I traded in an old driver of mine and my old 3 wood to get myself a used Titleist 910F with a Project 6.0 8C4 82g shaft.

DSC_0058_zpsd947f870.jpg

I also traded in a brand new Scratch 8620 wedge that I received through a promotion to get a used (looks brand new) Nike Method 001. I haven't played it yet, but I am going to put in the bag for a few rounds and see how I like it.

All of my babies lined up (minus one).

Here is a picture of the bag as it is right now.
