3 Wood Over Driver?

I just watched a clip of Henrik Stenson hit a 3 wood on Youtube. 290 is what he said he hit it off the tee. So check it out they all probably have almost the same swing speed.

Yeah I have a really quick swing speed I guess from all my years of playing baseball. Which is a big problem with my driver lol And being 6'2'' 230 just kinda adds to my length. The difference is Stenson is a badass all around player ... Not so much here :/

Stenson could also knock that 3w much farther I bet. Don't most pros swing about 75-85% off the tee? I think the original poster probably grips and rips his 3w driver style to get it out to 280. I probably averaged 240-250 with my xh 3w off a tee, but there were a few I measured at 270ish when the stars aligned in my swing so I could see a strong player hitting these "mini driver" 3woods a long way.

I know Henrik can hit a 3 wood a mile... I'm just curious about these swings that are world-class long and straight with a 3 wood and then can only hit 10% of their drives well.

I'm not doubting it, I'm just curious to see what it looks like. There are a lot of really knowledgeable people on this board and it might be a bigger help to these guys to straighten something out in their swing rather than keep chasing clubs.
