Lighter static weight...

I always adjust head weight to get my normal D3 driver swingweight. That's one reason I use the TaylorMade r500 heads - the weight cartridge makes swingweighting easy.

Love the 757 - just wanted to experiment with lighter options. I have a Speeder 569, along with the 652 that's in the mail. This will give me a couple options to try. Someone else mentioned a SK Fibre Revolution II as a low cost, lighter weight option to the 757.

I''ve tried all the Fuji lightweights at some point or another...(Six, ZCom MW54, 553,569,661,652)......The closest in performance to the 757 will be the 553 without a doubt.....If you really like the 757 the 660TR is pretty nice as well and a bit heavier than the 553....In my experience the 553 and 660 TR are more of a hitters shaft and works well for those that load it pretty well....The 569, ZCom, 652,661 seem to fit smoother swings better...Good luck and hope this helps....
My favorite driver shaft is the Speeder 757. Just thinking I'd like to try something with similar characteristics but in the 55-70g range. Any suggestions? Would the Speeder 553 fit the bill? How about other brands?

Thanks
I doubt you will notice any difference in performance from a shaft that is 15 grams lighter. It will of course play differently due to its characteristics but 15 grams less weight alone will be negligble.

I'd stick with the 757 if I were you. It's a fantastic shaft!

geeza 1, you're probably right, but I love to try different shafts. It's a sickness! I agree, the 757 is super, and it's my shaft of choice right now. I've never hit any other Speeders though, so I guess I'll experiment a little. Believe me, the 757 gamer will not be touched - it's in the bag.

Thanks for the info Hairpie. Like I said, I've got a 569 and 652 so I'll probably at least give them a try in one of my spare heads. I'm thinking I should probably tip both 1/2" or so to tighten them up a bit.
I had both 757 TP graphics on R510 TP and still have the 553 TP graphics on R510 DF. I loved the feelings of 757 and 553, but I stuck with lighter 553 because is was in my fav weight range 60-69g. Basically 757 felt more stiffer compare to 553, but I tipped my 553 1/2" and felt same as 757.
Thanks....I think I'll tip the 553 and 652 1/2" before I try them. Sounds like this would put me in the ballpark...
