So embarrassing

So, I probably shouldn't admit this, but I think I'm man enough. My wife just beat me at Wii golf by 8 strokes over 3 holes. Anyone else ever face this problem?

I'm a long time 'gamer' (sorry Sean) and can be quite competitive. I really enjoy playing Wii sports with my wife because the prospect of losing is very real. Not to manly to admit this.

I am also a victim of losing to my wife at Xbox golf. She had no idea what she was doing, I was trying to play "real golf" and got my butt kicked. Playing these Xbox and Wii golf games is NOT real golf.

I do not call video games a valid test. Hell I sit there with one hand and based on hand eye coordination, you can get the ball to do all kinds of things.

Now if your spouse can trounce you on the course, I would say take up a new hobby. That is when it gets embarrassing.

If my wife beat me on the course: a) I would be happy that she were joining me for a round, b) I would wage bets and work like heck to improve my game.

a) I would be very upset that she invaded my golf life (worlds colliding), b) Id find a new hobby that she would never join, like MMA.

I love my Wii. Got into the bowling first. Would play for hours at night. Then came tennis. I ended up losing like 15 lbs that summer. Didn't care for Golf because I just didn't have the control I wanted. Then I got TW 2009....... and I found my calling!

All I gotta say is, it get UGLY when someone decides to challenge me.

Oh, we played a couple more times..... Still couldn't beat her, but it was a much closer match each time after that first blowout. In all honesty I was just happy to get her to do anything that has to do with golf. Basically anytime I'm on my phone anymore she tells me to get off golfwrx, and half the time I'm not even on the site!
