A Bit of Help from the Directv Guy!

Posted something in a thread that got deleted for one reason or another... After receiving a couple PM's thanking me for the help... I figured I would throw it up here for everyone since we are in the bad weather season...

 

For those of you with Directv... Snow storms and rain storms during this time of year are frustrating.... So here's a tip!

 

High Definition channels are more sensitive than standard definition channels.. For those of you with HD... Your SD channels are most likely hidden from your guide.... Here's a quick method to change this...

 

When the HD goes out.... Sometimes the SD still works perfectly...

 

 

With your television on...

 

Grab your remote... Press the buttons in this order..

 

Menu

Settings & Help

Settings

Display

Preferences

 

Once you have your preferences up...

 

There is a scrolling menu option called GUIDE HD CHANNELS...

 

Using this option you want it to say SHOW ALL CHANNELS...

 

Once you have that done the Standard Definition channels will populate.... Channels numbers are identical... You'll visibly see duplicate listings for each HD channel...

 

Just a way to avoid complete loss sometimes...

The Chiefs Only beat the Skins this week, not difficult to do. My Pats barely squeaked one out against the Browns after barely squeaking one out against the Texans last week. AND, they've lost Gronk to another injury. I think the Pats will win the division but I don't know how far they can go.

I only mentioned the Chiefs cause the only other member to make a post was obviously a Chargers fan.... Just throwin a stab out there... Chiefs have been tested twice... By the Broncos... Lost both.

Glad to see improvement but I don't have red/white/yellow blinders on!
