caught this 47lb'r on sunday

wow, it's been going on two weeks of no golf..and i'm honestly not missing it too much...this is just to much fun...this is the biggest fish i have ever caught...i worked the river for 10 HOURS and got nothing..i told my buddy, "this is my last cast"...and wham...better then a 300 yard drive !!!

Been so long since i've been on here, haven't golfed in a month..fishing a lot though..coho's haven't showed up yet and it may be a poor year for them...chum are in strong and a blast to fight..still a helluva lot of kings in the rivers, though they are getting pretty bootish now..caught 4 yesterday..almost kept a 30lb'r but he was too dark, the rest i could see right off were to dark so i shook um off...a day of dog wrestling and other pic's added...

Nice catch. When I lived out in BC I mostly did flyfishing for cutthroat and rainbow trout, no salmon though. What river?

WOW! We get a lot of huge fish here locally...but no salmon. I didn't know salmon could get that big! Very nice!

I caught a fish bigger than that once, i was going to mount it, but the neighbors were watching.

its a g.loomis medium heavy 10.5 with medium action, shimano calcutta 400 TE with maxima 15lb test. i actually think this rod is too stiff and i'm going to try one with a faster tip and medium stiffness for more feel..

oh that ba$tard..that little angle is a commercial fishing gaff, if it wasn't for that thing i would still be fighting the feesh..got a big stinkin hook and i can scoop the fish under the jaw and lift it out of the water..

that's from cutting the gills to bleed the fish, it makes the meat much better...here is part 2, the pictures were deleted when it got moved to here.....this was a nice 35lb'r i caught on a day it was dumping rain..river came up so fast we almost didn't make it back across..i caught this one 4 days before the big big boy...

kind of funny, i'm finding the best reels are out of japan and japanesse only..you can find them on ebay...this is my latest bad boy...(god i'm hoing fishing gear now)...a shimano calcutta conquest...twice as many ball bearings, super beefed up gears...drilled out to save weight and look really cool...and one tough mother...i'm bringing in 30lb king salmon on 12 lb test...

man those are some gorgeous fish.. i actually did a little ice fishing about a week and a half ago... my boss and i have been bored as $hit at work these days, and we always have our gear at the club, so we walked down the 18th, drilled a couple holes and we fished for a good 4 hours... gotta love workin at golf courses... when the course is slow just find a gap, and fish... won't catch anything exotic pretty much small mouth, large mouth, carp, bluegills,etc. but when i go on trips i like to fish for muskie at webster lake in Indiana or go to my families place in the Upper Peninsula Michigan, do a little fishin for some northerns...
