Golfball Recommendation Please

I am not getting any younger and my swing speed has slowed down not only due to age but, also to injury to the rotator cuff muscles. My driver swing speed is between 75 and 80mph. Oh yes, I tap it out there only about 200 to 210 yards. I get ribbed: for a 120 yard approach, one of my buddies might tartly suggest, " You might want to take a little off your driver for that shot." Ok. I get it. I'm short off the tee. In my quest for a little more length, I have been fitted for a driver with a higher loft and a senior flex shaft. Does anyone have experience with golf balls designed for slower swing speeds? I have played B330RX, Pro V1 and Pro V1x (although I realize the x is supposed to be designed for faster swing speeds) as well as a host of other balls. The more expensive balls seem to perform better for me. Is there any specific ball that anyone would recommend for my swing speed? I also prefer a ball with decent spin around the green, by which I mean to say, not a hard rock. Thank you to all who may answer this query.

You might want to try the Bridgestone E5. It has a urethane cover so it has good spin around the greens and it is a 2 piece distance ball.

Try the TM Rocketballz Urethane. I've only played one round with it, as the weather has been terrible for weeks, but it was pretty long off the tee, and had great spin around the greens with the urethane cover. Good price point too.

I have a swing speed of just under 100 mpg with my driver, and I've found Callaway's new SR series balls to be excellent from a stand point of feel, spin and distance. For me, by choosing the proper category (SR2 for me) it's been the longest 'tour caliber' ball to date.

With your swing speed, the SR1 would fit you well. I highly suggest you give them a run. I've found it's hard to beat a premium ball designed for your proper swing speed.

Or for half the cost try the new Callaway SuperSoft ball. Great ball for slower swings. And very straight. You'll like it.

My wife has the same SS, sorry, she used to use E6 and DT Solos. Got her a dz. of the new Bridgestone Lady and she loves them. Gained one club with her irons and 20 yrds. off the tee. I hit them too, great ball. Thinking of gaming them myself!? Cheap too. Give them a whirl!

A few guys in our local dogfight use the e5 and rave about it. For what its worth they seem to hit their drivers about 200 in the air and pw about 85-90. I rarely see them bounce irons and hybrids off of greens with it so it must have some spin too.

+1 on the SuperSoft or Wilson Duo. They're both low compression balls and perfect for your swing speed. I think the SuperSoft is more forgiving and has about 5-10 yds more distance than the Wilson Duo, but I would still try both in case you like the feel of one over the other. A big difference between the two is how hot the ball comes off the putter. The SuperSoft comes off pretty hot and requires a little touch/finesse. Both great balls at a $20 price point and doesn't require a huge swing.
