Great writeup as usual, my man! How long before you go back to the Fourteen irons though?!
Thanks man! Not sure, the Fourteens are tough to beat, it's been my main bag for the past few month. I just have been really wanting to put together a legit all Nike bag that I can swap in and out since my trip to the Oven, and have just recently put the all Nike bag in play.. including the Rory putter :)

You bastxxx!!

Just kidding, nice bag and write up. I enjoyed it!

Those fourteen blades look super nice.

Looking at the CT 2.0 versus the original CT, I really wish they would come out with a deeper faced, pear shaped CT 2.0. The body shape is nice. But that face is too shallow.

Tai, that Rory should be gamed even if you were using anything else! So of what you've tried (the Nike Oven stuff, Fourteens, TMAG, etc), what would be the all-star lineup? And what is up with the Mystery FW? Inquiring minds (myself and nochrome) want to know!

Tai, so the "mystery" three wood is no longer in consideration for 2014 bag?

Just added it, thanks for the reminder!

LOL! Just posted the mystery 3 wood in the OP. Good question on the all-star lineup.. there are things I like about both bags that I'm using right now. Thinking out loud, I wish the Covert 2.0 had an OEM black paint option offered through Nike, the SLDR 430 was a touch more forgiving, Fourteen irons were a little sleeker from address, Nike irons had the weight and feel of the FH1000's, and the Fourteen wedges are definitely better than the Nike's, but the Nike's are more than playable.

Just got a chance to test out the Speeder 757 in my 3wood. I love the shaft, one of the best I have hit in a long time. It def is going in my 3wood and driver. Fujikura hit it out of the park with this one
It's a great shaft, I would also suggest trying the 661 in the driver for a lighter weight option. So far I have found the 661 to be very stable and smooth, dispersion and spin are good and distance has been good too. Waiting for more rounds with it before writing my review on the Covert 2.0 setup, but so far I'm very happy!

I know it has been asked already but is there any chance you care trying the i25's? They are the lead contender for my bag this year and I would love your opinion.

I wasn't planning on trying them. The hybrid looks awesome, but honestly, I nothing made by Ping has really excited me in a long time. A few members on here have really gotten me close to trying the G25 last year, but when I went to look at it, I couldn't get past the shape and sound of it. The racing stripes on the new driver are pretty goofy and I was pretty surprised Ping went that route. I have heard good things about the i25's but I'm not sure I can get myself to fork out the $$ to set one up for use on the course.

Great job Tai, I really enjoy reading your stuff. There's a lot of other people who go through as many clubs as you do (or more) but no one else takes as much time taking pics and giving lots of good, honest feedback for all of the clubs they try. We all appreciate it. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the CT 2.0 661/757 setup.

Spell check. In that context it would be "you're" not "your".

To the OP.....great thread and very articulate, informative reviews. Thank you and I look forward to many more of your reviews. You definitely have the gift of gab and a way with words in describing golf equipment bro. Thanks and have a great Sunday. God bless

you aren't big on the strong 3 woods eh? Those are clubs i've taken more and more of an interest in especially given my course....You mentioned Ping didn't really do it for you, i'm guessing you don't plan on hitting the Rapture?

It looks very interesting to me, but before i spend several hundred thousand dollars on it, i'd be interested in hearing others thoughts, especially compared to like a 3 deep for example. I can do this myself of course too, if my golftown gets one....but i also can't hit outside

Damn that first pic of the mystery 3 wood (already forgot what it was called) looks great. Actually that one pic looks better than the other 4 pictured together IMO. The pic makes it look kinda deep faced. Is it?

Honestly, the Rapture 3 wood and i25 hybrid are the first Ping clubs that I have really looked twice at. I would be really intrigued if they had a new Rapture driver coming out too. I used to heavily weight 3 wood performance based on how good it was off the tee, but now, I really want it to be good off the tee but also versatile off the fairway as well.

It's really a great looking and performing club. Face is very hot, it also gets the ball up really nicely from the fairway and ball flight is really good. The face is deep, but not overly deep like some of the newer tee shot specific 3 woods.

It reminds me of the TEE CB3 woods but louder.

This type of thread is why I keep coming back to the equipment section on this site. Honest reports from someone who knows his #### and great pictures, always. Keep it coming man!

Well done. It's quite nice to see honest feedback across the board without having to wade through a 70+ page thread of back-and-forth inside jokes, a** grabbing and

"Dude, that is trick!"
"No bro, that is sick!!!!"
"Phil actually exhaled some air in same room where my wedge was being stamped!"
