Rickie Fowler's new Scotty Cameron Newport 2

This almost looks like a leftover Tiger head, but I will bet this is 20 grams heavier by the sole thickness. It has the same look and plumbers neck setback that Tiger's NP2s had. Great looking putter.

I knew it was coming. Now all we need is just a slight little bend in the brim, not a big bend, just a small one, and we are all set. I like Rickie a lot and we have a lot in common actually and I really want to see a bit more of a mature version of this guy. We both raced motocross, fish, golf, live or want to live eventually in Jupiter, etc.

Perhaps rickie is taking more of a business approach to this season and leaving the colorfuly flashy nonsense behind. For being such a talented kid sometimes I wonder if he wouldnt do better with a little less media/sponsor driven distraction. The guy has the talent for sure, but I'm sure it's hard to put in the work necessary to be a consistent performer when your running around doing puma photoshoots and modeling all the time.

Huh? Newports have rounded bumpers (à la Ping Anser) and Newport 2s have squared off bumpers (à la Ping Anser 2)

Very little milling on the face, like the Studio Select line. Same with DJ, no medium milling like on the new '14 Select line.

Actually he has more of a problem staying focused on golf. Puma pushes him to play more but he likes to take time off for his "other interests" I find it amusing people still focus on what he wears. If he dressed in all black than what would you be saying right now? He needs to "lighten" up...add a little flare...what? Every pro has to deal with sponsors, commitments and drama. Its the focus he needs. Stop riding your motorbike and start grinding it out with Butch.

Great putter love the classic NP2 shape. Figured I'd add some more pics of Tiger's GSS for comparison sake (3 of these were originally on TCC taken by Eddie, the other is from a Japanese magazine). You can see the set back neck and the tri plane sole.

This one is intriguing because there is no Titleist stamp, not even a script T, which is the bare minimum requirement for any Scotty putter while on the Titleist staff.

Wonder how he got around that.

Titleist doesn't require their name or any part of the Titleist logo to be stamped on tour putters. Just see the oil can 009 from this weeks NT pics. Not very uncommon.
