In addition to what Richard's showcasing above, I was also very impressed with the standard XTD hybrid.

The XTD Forged irons paired with the RIP Tour 115 graphite felt amazing in my limited testing.

I just can't seem to get away from Adams -- it's awesome and can usually be had for a great price! I haven't made a big jump to the new stuff -- my CB2s and 1300ss are just too good. Can't wait to see what effect changing to C-Tapers in the CB2s will have!! I have a DHy -- just waiting for spring to start here in PA to get out and hit it. I've wanted to try the Puglielli's for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger. I thought they were kind of ugly at first, but they look better and better each year. A GolfWRX bag pin would finish it all off beautifully!

FWIW......I have a couple of the XTD TI 3W's and the XTD TI Hybrid. I've been going back and forth between an AD DI7 and an Xcaliber Tour FW in the 3W and been gaming the Xcaliber Tour HY in the hybrid. These things are incredibly long. I never thought anything would displace my XTD 3T 16* FW but this has. The jury is still out on the hybrid only because I love my Peanut V1's.

Ive had my new set for about 3 weeks now and just love them 3-p no dhy's. Its just like you said not being like everyone out there, everyone that sees them has to try them and when they do they cant belive that adams makes such a great feeling club. I had the CMB's before these and think the forgiveness and distance with the new XTD's is better. Its just a lot of fun to put these next to nike, titleist, callaway, and TM that everyone is using and them saying how awesome they feel and easy to hit.

How do they compare to the MC as far as forgiveness? The XTD look similar but I'm sure they feel better.

How do we score one of those WRX pins!?!?
I like it. Subtle and classic.
WRX Pins!!! We are responding to a few requests from members asking for some way to identify ourselves in the bag other than putter covers. We made some awesome bag tags and these pins that just came int eh other day. We will be offering them for free or close to. They didnt cost that much and we are looking to get them out there.

Comparison to MC? I cant answer that. I have hit them at length. They feel just incredible. I think the construction allows some face give and it feels like lead with a pop. I mean it is cool. Fitters at Carls and Miles of Golf that hit everything all day every day both asked me if I had hit them. Hummmm.

Time to give Adams some more love. This year we are seeing so much great equipment come out. So much new great gear is out there and many are being over looked. IMHGO we have some great products that came out of Adams this year.

Don't want to be like everyone else? Drive an Audi, Maserati, or a Subaru. Dont want to play what everyone else is this year but want to game some hi tech gear... seriously, try Adams. I have a bag in front of me that looks so good and performs. Here is a bunch of Pics for the Adams fans to give them some love.

Adams XTD Driver- (See the review on the frontpage) Flat black paint, crazy slot on the crown, larger footprint but also a deep profile. Same adaptor as TMag so make Hoin easy for us WRX'ers. I have personally tested it and could easily tweak the setup to be my gamer. There is a 55g stiff white tie in it now and I need to put something with less spin in it. The sound is NOT muted. Louder than the average driver but sounds good. Dark horse this year.

Adams XTD Ti Fairway Wood- WOWOWOW. Cannon! This is no dark horse. This was/is right next to me as I watch the tournament on tv today and I am loving it. Same satin black finish and slot on the top. I love the look of the slot. I think it frames the ball like nothing I have seen. Ti titanium face and wow... one of those long cannons. I love to hear guys say they hit their 3 wood to long. A problem I would love to have. This will be one of those exceptionally long fw woods. Tour Edge and Adams Ti are those long crazy titanium ones this year. Built it to 43" and looks perfect. Great flight and numbers from the Testing Panel support my opinion. LONG LONG LONG!

Adams XTD Pro Hybrid- Ahhh just try it. This is a all around great hybrid. Drop dead great look and it is long. We will be hearing about this all year long.

Adams XTD Forged Irons- (Read the review on the frontpage) What a unique tech story. Players iron with speed and tungsten to tweak the CG. Multi piece head that adds gap between the face the forged chassis for speed in the longer irons. I tell you when you hit them you can feel the difference. Pricey but worth a test if you get a chance to hit them. You can but 3-pw or opt for 3 and 4 iron in an optional DHY (driving iron) that makes you never want to hit a 3 or 4 iron ever again. They are small enough also to not need headcovers. Helps me not look like I am on the LPGA. The DHY are money. I shafted them in the same shafts as my 5-pw. Right now I am playing 4-pw in the irons and swapped out the 3 iron with the DHY. If Adams marketed like the otehr big boys these would be front and center for players irons.

Here are the pics. See the new WRX pin on the bottom of the bag? Nice. Just got 50 of them in.

I've tried the Pro Mini/Super 9031 and those feel great and are really low spin, but I could always use a little more forgiveness with the Pro. Like you say, it looks great at address and I think Adams has done a nice job fine-tuning how their hybrids feel. Seems pretty rare, recently at least, to find someone complaining about how Adams hybrids feel. Even the XTD Ti, which I thought would be harsh like the older XTD offerings, has a more muted and subtle click to it at impact for a Ti face.

Love these forged XTD iron's--- got a smokin' hot deal on Monday 4-9 with ctapers----and Wednesday they were at my club builder with length, loft and lies set.
After one practice session yesterday I bagged them and played and won the first match play round of my club championship today.....

My background is that I had Adams CB2's w/ctaper's for more than 3 seasons, I thought that the cb2/ctaper's were good these xtd's are surprisingly better in three areas:
Easier to shape the ball -- lower ball flight and the dispersion narrowed.... what more could you ask for? lol
I will elaborate on the surprise bit, I bought these without a demo or seeing them in person and the profile is way smaller than the cb2s vs the xtds, so I was not sure how it would play out-- gotta be the technology of the tungsten weighting and the cut-through slot technology.

overall very happy and hope that the honeymoon phase leads to wedded bliss :pimp: ...... and that's my .02

I love the driver, 3wd, hybrid. They'll probably end up in my bag nsxt year when they can be had for pennies on the dollar. I tend to upgrade to last year's equipment (woods wise) every year or so. Right now I'm playing the Super LS Xtd woods and hybrid from last year with no complaints! Next year may be a different story though :)

I found a small break in the weather here, and was able to get out on the course a couple of times. My swing is still rusty, so there were a lot of bad swings that I cannot blame on the club. When I made a good pass at the ball, I was very impressed with this driver/shaft combo (9 degree XTD with UST Elements Chrome 6F4T shaft). Felt great at impact, the ball jumped off the face, and seemed to have a piercing mid-trajectory ball flight, which I prefer to high bombs. The trajectory is likely due to degree loft and shaft choice; I am sure you could create a combo for high bombs if that is your preference. I am going to give it a month of solid play, then it will have to compete for the starting spot in the bag. So far, I am impressed.

First time using an adjustable club and before I braking it, does the Adams wrench have some kind of torque limiter so that it will click once the screw been tightened enough?

I don't understand why Adams doesn't get more love. Is it because they were originally viewed as a GI company and not for "players"? I have always had Adams in the top end od my bag and their equipment has always performed. The 9064ls was maybe the most under hyped club in history. We all know how good there hybrids and FW are, maybe it's time we realize how good this company is and give them their just due.

ADAMS IS BACK BABY!

I've had a few rounds under my belt since picking up the XTD Ti 3W w/ stock Matrix 7Q3. After two months of range and on course play I have to say I might have finally found a winner to kick out my Proto 3446F aka "Clamshell" out of the bag. This thing is sooooo low spin it bombs off the tee. The other day I outdrove my buddy who hit driver off the tee. First impressions were rough but after playing w/ the settings I've got it dialed in. At first I thought the club felt dead but once I figured out how to release the Matrix shaft it's a cannon. The head likes to punish balls. The harder I swing the better it feels. Amazing how good the velocity slot works. It's a little deeper in face than my clamshell which requires a little more precision off the deck. The club just flat out bombs off the tee and off the deck. Adams gets my seal of approval on this years line for sure. You blew me away with the clubs of the good ol 9015D days and unfortunately dissappointed me during the TM acquisition years but you've come back strong with the XTD line. Plus you have filled the hardest club in the bag for me to replace, trusty fairway finding 3 wood.

I posted this in another Adams XTD post, but really think the information is useful for those of us new to the adjustable dirver market.

I play the Adams XTD and really like it. I find it fairly long and forgiving as my mis-hits are not punished as much. This is my first adjustable driver so I was disappointed that it did not come with a booklet explaining the different options the adjustments made. I found out through another thread, that this has the same adjustment as the TM RBZ Stage 2 Tour. So I found this on the TM site that helped me out:

I hit this driver last night for the first time and was really impressed. Going back for some more testing this weekend and might come away with a new driver.
I really like it and I'm finding my fairway hit percentage is up so for me that speaks volumes. I moved to the 9* Adams XTD with Matrix Red Tie 7Q3 X-Flex from the Adams 9015D LDA at 8.5* with a Aldilia Alpha 70X. I even pulled the Adilia shaft from my old driver and had it fitted with the loft sleeve to try in my XTD, but I'm finding that the Matrix shaft just works too well for me. I might tinker some more, but for now this combo is performing. I've been playing it at standard loft and one click higher loft for a little bit and have kept it at standard for the time being.

Bringing up an old thread but finished putting together a XTD Ti 10.5 with a Nasty Long. Played it today for the first time and I am in LOVE with it. I was playing an RBZ Tour 9 with a 2 degree tip turned to lower and a VTS Silver that I hit really high. I had this on 9* at first but it was hitting liners, turned it to 10.5 and was smoking it.

I've been playing about with the driver in 9 degrees with a veylix arcane. It's a really good feeling driver. The shaft feels great. I've got a three wood and the hybrids on their way.

I know that I'm late on the xtd ti's, but I finally snagged an 18* 5 wood @ a fantastic price. I can't wait to get it & see how it goes. I know at the local GG they're still going for $299, but I got a mint one with the head cover+ wrench for $87/shipped. Anyone still playing these???

For original poster-sweet looking setup! And the bag looks great!

I played the CMBs for a couple of years and got rid of them and wished I'd had them back immediately. After going through a few sets I found these J40s and have tried to replace them, but I can't. Although I haven't spent much time hitting the new XTD irons. One of my regular foursome partners recently (3 months ago) went to Adams here in Dallas and got a whole setup similar to yours. He got the bag too (looks really cool with the new logo). He loves his irons and I've noticed he's about a 1/2 a club longer than he was with his Mizzys. And he says they're really forgiving. Bear in mind we're both low single digits so I guess that's relative. I'm going to give them a try.

I love my driver/3 wood/hybrids. I have the LSP 18 and 23* hybrids. I've had a hard time replacing my LSPs with the XTD Ti because I like the LSP so much. But the XTD hybrid is pretty awesome.

For those that haven't hit the driver and 3 wood you should try them. And honestly the launch monitors don't tell the story. While you will see more ball speed and less spin in a monitor with these clubs, you can't really appreciate them until you hit them on your golf course. I hit both my driver and 3 wood substantially longer than anything else I've had with one exception. I briefly tried a SLDR 430 TP and it's as long as the XTD. But not on off center hits. That's why it's not in the bag and the XTD is back. I know everyone likes to claim big gains, but I can honestly say I hit the driver and 3 wood 15 yards further than any other combos I've owned.

Now I only hope TM doesn't do anything stupid with Adams now that they've relocated them!!
