ball retriever wont retrieve

hello just this sunday i was watching the web.com since they came to Panama and I noticed that and awful lot of them lost their ball in the green side water hazard at the 11th hole. I decided to buy a ball retriever to pick up the balls and after I picked up over 10 prov1 balls i tried to store the ball retriever into its normal position and one of the extensions is stuck and wont go back in. Does anybody know how to fix this??

It's really going to depend on what type of retriever you have.

Probably just have to twist the connection point a bit to loosen it up.

Put some WD2 on it bang the handle on the ground. I would try to see if it works on mine but it is being re-griped.

Have it regripped. New Decade MCC. The tech will fix it while it's being regripped.

I'd tell him to dive back in the water and ONLY bring back Pro V1s or it's back to the orphanage. Plenty others to take his place.

Maybe like the majority of the WRX community you have a very high pick speed. You should have gone with the tour issue x stiff shaft.

If it wont retrieve you're looking in the wrong spot.

If it won't retract spray some WD-40 in all the openings and side it open and closed to work it in.

The CoG is low and deep on the model you're using so you're not getting spin needed for it to retrieve properly based on the new retriever ball laws.

Once I got stopped by a couple groups of "ball retrievers" on expensive public resort courses years ago, I knew it was possible the biggest violation to unwritten golf etiquette that there is to put down on your playing partners, and even worse, those groups behind you.[b]Toss the ball retriever in the garbage, as that is what they are. [/b]Take a quick look for you ball in the pond, if your wedge can stag it, fine, otherwise get on with golfing I say.

What retriever shaft are you using? Stiff, X-Stiff? At full extension you might not be loading the shaft properly during your body lean in order for it to retract properly. I would get it re-shafted and would go with a tip'd shaft that is shorter than standard as many tour caddies have been going to shorter than 45" ball retriever shafts with low spin heads for more retrieval success. Stay away from Dynalite shaft as you have to hold it too high over the water. KBS C-Taper all the way.
