Sounds like these beauties are tour only for the moment ( see link below). I was hoping to get my hands on these, hopefully they retail sooner than later.

I talked with Roger Cleveland today, not only about this thread (how positive the feedback has been) but also about whether they would come to retail soon. While Roger couldn't say anything regarding retail, he did say he might have to do something on GolfWRX to get some of these wedges in our members hands to test (help create a buzz).

I'm sure that the powers to be at both Callaway and GolfWRX will work to make it happen.

Oh man, Greg, nice work on this info! I think the buzz is already growing, but a few of these wedges littered among us will surely ramp up that buzz to a bit of a stir, maybe, or even a hullabaloo? Whatever the case, I am excited!

Bottom line, Roger (and Callaway) listened. The current MD2's are good, but not perfect in shape for most. I personally have the 50.12S, 56.14C, 56.14S, 60U, 60C, and 60S at home and have finally settled on my gamers. I'm pretty sure they will replace my old Vokeys. However, if I had access to these, I much prefer the shape and the grind looks similar to what I've played over the years or ground for myself.

Hey, do I get extra credit for my earlier thread? http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/995953-callaway-tour-grind-md2-wedges/ :D

The grinds on these look awesome, love the "V" shape of the sole. Still not a fan of the rounded leading edges even if they are straighter than the C/U grind MD2s, but considering I have a Jaws wedge in my bag, I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite on that...

Love these! They look great and I love that they aren't 'pretty'. They look like tools, not showpieces.

Looks like these fix the few complaints I have about the current MD2 wedges- which aren't many... I've unconsciously started swapping out my old standby Vokey's (been die hard Vokey for a couple seasons) for Mack Daddy 2's this season based on performance. Love the straighter leading edge and lower bounce options of this tour version. I really hope these come to retail, I'll pick up a few for sure. I would have to guess that these will be released to retail in some form, as Callaway has been adamant in the past that they do not release "tour only" equipment (even though they do from time to time, depending on what definition you accept as "tour only").

Yeah, I want them last week, not at the end of summer! Lol! But, seriously, I hope they at least offer the new grind as an option sooner rather than later. Honestly, I'd own at least two right now if they were available, and probably more. There's nothing worse than late summer releases to us Midwestern guys.

If so they will be in my bag immediately. The only thing that has kept MD2's out of my bag if that they have no grinds other than S lefty and or they all have 100,000,000* of bounce. But grinds that are almost identical to my Scratch wedges and have single digit bounce are a home run.

Can't see these coming to my bag in the near future. The 'standard' MD's are already amazing! Yes, the bounce seems to be quite a lot, but they play perfectly.

As for getting them in WRXer's hands, never ceases to amaze me all the opportunities and giveaways the shite is able to offer.
