Do these higher end ear buds still hurt after awhile?
I have never had a pain issue with the Jay Birds, but I don't thimk I've every worn them for more than an hour. As long as I don't have my B&Ws in for me than 4 hours, I have no pain. There's been a couple long plane rides I started to notice them on
I wear my Bose ear buds for sometimes up to 6 or 8 hours sitting at my desk at work and no trouble.. actually, the ear pieces they have are super comfortable. About a couple minutes i cant even feel them.

Etymotic Research are excellent, I have the hf5s and my wife has the mc5s. You can find the hf5s for less than $100.

I went on this journey not to long ago and found a set that's perfect for Running/golf/working out.

If bluetooth is an option for your application...check out the LG Tone+ HBS-730.

They came highly recommended from other friends/users.

I walk my round 95% of the time with a click gear, i leave my i phone in my bag or on the cart and the wireless/bluetooth is crystal clear and the range is crazy long.

you can answer calls if needed and what not...and the batterylife is superb!

prices range from $45 - 60...worth every penny!!...i was hesitant at the design and wearing something around my neck....but its super comfy and you dont even realize its there!

Check out RHA. I have their top end ones, and they're legit. But, you can't go wrong with bose. I had the ie2 buds for forever, and did everything in them. Plus they are a bit cheaper than the sport. Plus I hate how short the cord is on the Sie2s, yes I know you can add an extender but thats weighty and annoying. PS-go with the ie2s if you go Bose, the mie2s hardly give you much expect something that can break.

I'm a little late to the party, but I've had some great success while jogging, bowling, and golfing with the JVC marshmallow earbuds. Less than $15.00, awesome audio quality, and never come out. If you're really sweating hard, they get a little slick, but work great for non-bluetooth applications. Cheap experiment if nothing else.

Any ideas/suggestions for headphones, ear buds etc... That do not come out during exercise and range time?

PERIOD. Get a couple pairs and leave them where you need them. I've tried about eight different brands of under $50 buds and the above Panasonics outclass them all.

Do these have a mic in the remote? I'm about to pull the trigger, but that is a big thing for me.

Yes, they have a mic in the headphones. Speech is not as clear as the stock headphones that come with iPhones though.

Thanks! I'm about the cop the black/black. My iTunes headphones have enough quality sound for me for workouts and range/putting sessions, but they fall out too easily with twisting.

The Bose wires will crack and fray in about a year. I expect a little better quality when spending $150 on earbuds. I've had two pairs of them and both cracked. I know several other people that had the same issues. When it comes to working out, running and golfing, I prefer my PowerBeats by Beats by Dre. They are manufactured by monster audio if I am not mistaken. They stay in and are comfortable. They have a cord extension to accommodate for golfing. THey run about $150. I also have a pair of Monster Audio earbuds, as well as a set of Jays. The PowerBeats take the cake IMO.

Cant beat the price tag. I own the Plantronics backbeat GO 2's and these smash them on the battery life, range and sound quality. 24 hours left on the deal. Before buying, subscribe to the newsletter and wait for an email to get an extra 10% off. Check out the lithiumcard as I scooped one in my order along with a couple pairs of these.

I tried the Blubuds X and didn't like them. They wouldn't stay in my ear when I would swing a club. The chord would always get stuck on back of neck and pull out the bud. Sound quality was great
There are 3 different ways you can wear them, plus you can use the secure fit pieces that come with them, as well as the plastic pieces to secure the cord so it fits your head shape.

I swing at nearly 120mph and don't think they have ever left my ear

When I am practicing, I have to use a headphone that wraps around my ear, or it will come out. I really like the PowerBeats and have zero issue with them coming off while swinging. The plastic that goes around your ear is very comfortable. I was worried it was going to bother me when I bought them, but I don't even notice it.
THESE!!!

Look, I've got a serious problem with three products, in that I will purchase them when there's no way in the world that I could use the inventory that I accumulate and really, could sell them off and live off of the proceeds for a month or two, the obvious discounted selling price included. They are drivers, putters & earbuds/ear phones. I see, I like, I buy. I'm an idiot, so please don't waste your time or the post telling me what I already know ;)

That being said, and also, with the exeption of one pair mentioned in this thread, I have every pair mentioned, and probably every bud/earphone released by Bose, Sennheiser, Monster(yea, their private labels also) and Audio-Technico.

My #1 for Golf and really 90% of the time are the JB X's because I have been spending a lot of time in hospitals and these can be removed in a heartbeat and either left hanging if you are approached or speaking to someone for any length of time, slipped into a pocket if need be. No unwieldy cords hanging out from your device.

Great buds!!

The only negative is that depending on someone's neck size, even when adjusted, they may not stay in with a sudden, violent turning/twisting of the swing. I have a Friend who has this problem.

Excellent find on the review BJ! The M50s are actually my second fave pair of cord/over the ear phones and I'd go so far as to say I'd take em over anything $350 or less-

Amazing sound, though his most relevant point in the 9 minute plus review was his comment regarding diminishing returns and reaching that in both the discernible audio quality of both the device and more importantly, our audio faculties. It's akin to someone bragging to me about their six sigma corporate capabilities when a human being, and a rare human at that, can only detect up to three sigma. So my next question is usually could those millions(and hundreds of millions for your worldwide corporations) of dollars be better spent elsewhere?

Unfortunately, I don't tranfer this thinking from my business world to my personal buying habits ;)

So in the end, please do as I say and not as I do :)

Though I've got the iPhone and various iPods, I've never listened to those white buds that come with em. A good Friend who works for Apple and though he has that typical condescending Apple "greater than thow" attitude, he said those are trash and an embarassment to Apple. That's good enough for me. He's forgotten more than most know, so his snootiness aside, I listen to him on all things Apple :)

Great post BJ!

Richard

I have the wireless studio Beats by Dre. They're incredible.. Well worth the money in my eyes. 50ft of wireless Bluetooth, means I leave my phone in my bag while I warm up or grind at the range. Stay secure to your head, and best part is no inconvenient wires and plug pulls, re adjusts after every swing. Love them for the gym and range especially.
