UST ProForce V2 75 Wood Shaft

Is this an o.k. shaft for a fairway wood. I'm looking for a cheaper graphite shaft with almost the same performance as the NV. Can any of you suggest a decent shaft for not a lot of money??? This is the closest I found.

The proforce V2 is a very solid shaft that plays very well, it can be had in a variety of weights and does in fact play very close to the NV, if you want the NV feel then just go with an NV you can get em brand new on ebay for 10 bucks more than the V2 and then you wont be settling on anything different. But I will say if you go with the V2 it will not be a mistake, in fact thats whats being installed in my new driver. I was considering going back to the NV (used to play it in all my woods 95-x) but I decided that the even lower torque of the V2 is what i wanted. Cant go wrong with either shaft, for the price not much out there that can beat it maybe also look into the grafalloy blue, or compt nt, i play the blue which does tend to play a little stiff (not a concern for me as thats what i wanted) its also very low torque, a little lower than your current NV so Im not sure if thats what you want but the Grafalloys, the V2, and the NV are probly your best bets for a decent price range.

That's about what I needed to know. So there really is little difference??? The price of the V2 is hard to beat, now that X-Mas is over, I gotta return to the budget golfer. Thanks.

I think the v2 feels much smoother than the nv's. I don't like the nv's at all, but so far I'm very happy with the v2's.

V2 is an excellent shaft. I think UST makes great shafts in general and use alot of their products in alot of my stuff.

 

NV is good I think too, but we seem to have problems with them being inconsistent...we'll get 5 NV shafts in that are supposed to be "identical" and none of them will be close to each other.

 

You won't go wrong with a V2.
