Currently testing set of MB001 with Modus 120, curious as to your comparison of MB001 vs. Straight Neck PP and why PP in bag (if for reason other than always wanted to try straight necks).
[/quote]

Mitchell...that's basically it. When the PP9003's came out I remember sitting with Joey looking at the head and he mentioned if they came out with a version with less offset it would be killer. When they came out with the Straight Neck set, it caught my curiosity immediately. I finally got it just to try them out. I'm currently working on a review of them. Right off the bat I can tell you if you're used to working the ball, they're you'll be able to do it much easier with the MB's. The PP9003 Straight Necks just seem to want to go straight all the time. Not that it's a bad thing but I'm trying to get used to the big differences between the two heads.

The Speedline was an awesome 3 wood..still is and actually still have it somewhere. I initially saw the Miura Precious Edition head at the shop I hang out at and just loved the old school look to it. Nothing fancy....no slots, no white head..just a small compact head that was really eye appealing. After looking at it for about a month and pm'ing with some fellow GolfWRX'ers about it, I finally pulled the trigger on it. Also at the time...every club in my bag was a Miura except the 3 wood and hybrid. Both slots which were held by Adams at the time and I figured I'd try and tinker to see if I could get a 1 brand bag. (and no, I'm not a believer in a 1 brand bag...I was curious)

I actually thought I'd totally suck with the Precious Edition considering there was no "assist" built in the head but the guys I pm'ed with told me I'd like it. I knew for sure the look was something I liked considering it looked like the old Tourstage head I had and played for a number of years. When I took it to the range for the first time I was pretty shocked I could hit it well. Especially considering my fairway wood challenged ways! I actually asked my teacher...why the heck was I hitting it so well and he couldn't figure it out either and just chalked it up to it fitting my eye better along with the shaft installed working well for me unlike some other 3 woods I used. This was the first time I was using a Quadra shaft so he probably was correct in his thoughts.

I've since purchased the Miura SIT 3 wood just because the Precious Edition was so good. I did this purchase just because "if the old one was great..the new one must be an improvement". Yes, I know a stupid reason but...it wouldn't be the first time I ho'ed a club for a stupid reason otherwise my WITB wouldn't be on page 24. :swoon: The verdict on the SIT 3 wood is still not ready although I have started a review on it. I know for sure it's much better off the tee than the Precious Edition because of it's length.

BTW..I switched to a Miura MG hybrid just because it was pretty initially. After playing it...realized how easy to hit it was. Probably due to the 20* of loft but shafted a little longer than standard and it was a perfect fit in my bag. From there I said bye to Adams..and had what I thought was the impossible 1 brand bag. Something I've rarely ever done!

Thanks for looking. :drinks:
