new irons

I'm looking to get new irons, play a Cleveland TA5 with DG S300 shaft. Have hit the MX 23 wow you can feel the ball. I'm partial to Cleveland have 588 wedges in 50, 56, 60. Looking at TA2's great price right now. I play to 8-12 handicap depending on the day. Anyone have any thoughts on MX23 vs. TA2. Help!!

The TA2's are a tough one to beat at such a great price. They feel pretty good, look decent and play a lot like a "forgiving blade".

The MX23's are much more forgiving than TA2's.

 

The TA2's are a players cavity with a small head, shallow cavity, and very little offset. They come stock with Dynamic Golds and have a fairly high center of gravity so they hit fairly low.

difinately go with the mx-23. If you hit them already and love the feel why not just go with them? IMHO, theres no better game-improvement iron than that.

i play the TA2's, great iron. this is my third season with them. solid feel, good look, i play to an 11 and was playing them when i was a 16. they are fairly forgiving, especially for a player club, which i have no business using. i would not give them up for anything. forget the 23's. if you want to play mizuno go to the mp30's, but i am definitely partial to the TA2's
