Custom made Putter headcover

Just a quick shoutout to anybody who has attempted or has made a custom headcover before, I am about to attempt creating my own however i have a few questions i need answered first.

Just wondering if anybody has an idea of exact measurements to best fit a Scotty Cameron Newport?

 

I will follow up with pics as i go.

Interested in the progress! You do not have an old headcover which you could strip to get the correct measurements?

Funnily enough Mondays are pretty quiet at work, so i stripped down my old Scotty Cameron cover and now have the identical template to use! I have found the material, i am just looking for embroidery shops locally that could spice up a cover for me

I tried this about a year ago. My problem was finding a shop that could do the sewing for me and I came up with nothing. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Quick update,

Purchased some cheap material and attempted the sewing myself on my mothers old machine this week, after a few youtube videos and luck i had what looked to be a somewhat nice shaped prototype, fast forward a few weeks i decided to go ahead and purchase all my components, i had to purchase strips of material therefore i was left with enough for about 6 covers in total, perfect for playing around and adjusting were needed, in total it cost me $20 which covered the vinyl, which was almost identical look/feel to my stripped scotty, the inside fur, again almost impossible to pick a difference and my strips of Velcro, i was very surprised on the cost and have left myself with two options-
Do the sewing myself and be content with my finished products.
See what it would cost to have a professional do the work, obviously a cleaner product, but at the sacrifice of possibly another $20-40 more.

I will post pictures when i can, i have a new template to share which is identical to the Scotty Cameron covers, different to those kicking around the forums. Also, hopefully looking to get some embroidery done once i have finalized details.

Hopefully, you want to embroider the another head over before you put it all together... Now there is material that you can embroider on making a patch that you can iron onto the one you already made.

I decided seeings i have plenty of material for multiple covers i would have a cover put together first to see how it turns out, that way i don't waste money on embroidery for a cover i could potentially dislike once together. i will take small steps until i am confident all areas will be a success.

Good idea to practice. My wife embroiders and it is a cool option to offer but it can get expensive depending on what you want.
